Chinese commercial vehicle producer LDV has unveiled its rival to popular four-wheel-drive utes at the Guangzhou motor show.
The new LDV T60 is set to arrive locally in the second half of 2017, bringing strong safety features and a range of body styles to match the likes of Toyota's HiLux.
Available in single cab, double cab and extended double cab layouts with a choice of two tray lengths, the T60 will be available with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors and driver fatigue monitoring systems
The brand expects its first ute to receive a five-star ANCAP safety rating when the model is tested locally.
LDV will offer a choice of petrol and diesel power, manual or automatic transmissions and rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive architecture to suit customer needs.
The brand has not confirmed powertrain details for the new model, but has previously stated it will come with a choice of either a 2.8-litre turbo diesel four cylinder or 2.0-litre turbo petrol motors.
Full specifications including Australian prices will be available closer to the model's local launch.
