Season 2016/17 Overview

The NFL enters its 97th season in 2016-17, with the Denver Broncos coming in as the defending Super Bowl Champions.

The league's reigning Most Valuable Player, Carolina's Cam Newton, is expected to have another big season heading a lethal Panthers offense.

For the first time in nearly a decade, the NFL will feature a team that relocated to another state, with the St. Louis Rams moving to it's former home of Los Angeles, California.

Four Australians will suit up during the 2016-17 NFL action, with punters Brad Wing at the New York Giants and Jordan Berry at the Pittsburgh Steelers, and second-round draft pick Adam Gotsis in Denver, and rookie Lachlan Edwards punting with the New York Jets.

The season will conclude with Super Bowl LI, which will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2017.
