Interior designer Andrew Pranoto to sell executive resort at Bunratty St, The Gap
Renowned interior designer Andrew Pranoto’s home at 25 Bunratty St, The Gap is a resort-style home spread across five manicured acres.
Known as ‘Moora Moora’, the five-bedroom, three-bathroom home also has a guest cottage and many design elements including a Frieze painted by Brisbane artist Michael Zavros.
A cross between an island resort, suburban house and sprawling country retreat, the decor is reminiscent of a resort setting - inspiration taken from the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas.
Mr Pranoto built the home about 20 years ago and said the position of the property was unique.
“We have family come and stay with us for about three to four months at a time, and they love it,” he said.
“They swim in our pool during the winter and love the climate.”
The home would be ideal for executives, or families with teenagers, Mr Pranoto said.
McGrath Estate Agents Paddington agent Canda Reynolds said: “Andrew has thought out the design of the home to complement their European and Indonesian background, it’s a fusion of Australian, Indonesian and European Influence”.
“The waterfall on a high wall at the rear of the garden has been designed to ward off negative effects of Feng Shui,” Ms Reynolds said.
“Like the pond that adjoins the dining and front entrance, it has a soothing effect.
“The home has been designed around ‘energy’ from the portico to the number of steps to the Porte cochure.”
The house is listed for sale at offers over $2.5 million.
