We Begin (1987) is a collaborative album by the American jazz musicians Mark Isham and Art Lande. It is a highly experimental album featuring a wide range of compositional styles.
The first track on the album is a piece titled “The Melancholy of Departure”. It consists of a soft and mournful trumpet melody set against a harsh and almost mechanical rhythm. “The Melancholy of Departure” takes its title from a 1916 work by the Italian metaphysical painter Giorgio de Chirico.
The two most experimental tracks on the album are “Ceremony in Starlight” and “Surface and Symbol”. “Ceremony in Starlight” is an eerie avant-garde composition with muted trumpet, piano and synthesized bells. “Surface and Symbol” is a complex arrangement of looped trumpet, piano and percussion with synthesizer accompaniments.

Thousand Foot Krutch (often abbreviated TFK) is a Canadianrock band formed in 1995. They have released eight albums. They have also released one live album and three remix albums. Singer Trevor McNevan and drummer Steve Augustine are also members of their own side project band called FM Static and Joel Bruyere started his own solo project called "The Drawing Room" in 2009. The band has sold a million albums as of February 2014.
Trevor McNevan founded the band in Peterborough, Ontario, a city northeast of Toronto, where he went to high school. Joel Bruyere, born in Brantford, Ontario, was McNevan's childhood friend who had moved away but remained in contact with him. Drummer Steve Augustine is from Hamilton, Ontario. McNevan's first band was Oddball, which featured Dave Smith on guitar, Tim Baxter on bass and McNevan's good friend, Three Days Grace's Neil Sanderson, on drums. Oddball recorded only one album, Shutterbug, which was released in 1995. McNevan is the founding member of TFK (along with original guitarist Dave Smith), formed in 1997 in Peterborough, Ontario. McNevan came up with TFK's name "symbolizing the point in our lives that we realize we can't make it on our own strength". He has written and released seven albums with Thousand Foot Krutch to date and another four with his side project FM Static.

"Where We Begin" was originally written for Chicago 17, circa 1983-84. The original demo featured Robert Lamm on lead vocals. The song was never finished, and never made the final cut of 17. The demo was included as a bonus track on the 2006 Rhino Records re-release of Chicago 17. When I heard the demo, I went nuts. I loved the song so much I decided to record my own version of it. This is what I imagine the song could have sounded like had it been fleshed out more and included on the original cut of Chicago 17.

"Yes To You" marks the fourth video in the partnership between Fr. Pontifex and Spirit Juice Studios. Of the videos that have been created this one posed some unique and difficult challenges because of the subject matter. The team wanted to make sure that the cross of Jesus Christ was a center piece in this important video. This was the primary reason we chose St. Helen's in Chicago. The crucifix with the intricate gold root like design communicates the necessity to anchor ourselves in the Lord as we speak the truth in love. The filming went very smoothly and the proper tone was achieved. Before anything else we want to emphasize that the Church is a refuge of love for all of humanity. Fr. The Letter from Phil below Dear Heads, Although none of us knew it when we walked off the stage at Soldier Field on July 9, 1995, the Grateful Dead's long strange trip ended in Chicago that night. As you are aware, twenty years later, we’re returning to Chicago to properly say Fare Thee Well. But every good ending must start with a beginning. For us, it all began fifty years ago when we grabbed a bunch of instruments off the walls of a music store in Palo Alto California and began banging away on them in the back room, at night after the store had closed for the day. Since we made the decision to go back to Chicago to sa...

In our first longplay run on stream we guide the Chicago Bears through a strong season and into a playoff run. Our season begins against the Minnesota vikings where the seasoned Chicago defense immediately flexes its muscles, producing 2 interceptions and creating offensive momentum as the Bears pull away 27-6. Walter Payton and the ferocious Bears Defense continue to ignite in game 2 as they throttle the NY Giants 51-0, with 7 interceptions along the way. Dan Marino's spread offense looks to knock on the scoring door multiple times early in the first half, but the monsters of the midway shut them down and they remained scoreless 41-0 compiling yet another 6 ints to go with it. Thru the first 3 games, the team retains a point total of 139-6, and 15 interceptions total. Things take an entir...
This isn't the end or the beginning
But just between the two
Whatever you say, whatever intention
I found myself following you
This is where we begin to ask ourselves again
Why we try, try to be something more
It's hard to know when to say
We let this get away and (so) this time
Is no different than before
What everyone is failing to mention
Our attention is long overdue
So can we get by on this indecision
