Cfrc presents The Tragically Hip-ute, three hours of love for the band that started in Kingston. Our tribute includes covers by local bands, readings of Gord Downie's poetry, stories about the Hip from both the Queen's and Kingston community, along with some special guests and more.
You can listen to the tribute on the radio at 101.9fm in the Kingston and surrounding areas, or stream it online at http://audio.cfrc.ca:8000/listen.pls.

Late Nite Kingston Rides Again!
Do you remember that little summer gem, Late Nite Kingston? Well, M0tt and Dice are back for a limited time only! Tune in on July 22nd at 12 am, right after A Working Knowledge for a 6 week run. No idea what Late Nite Kingston is? Here's a little description:
"Light-hearted and experimental long-form interview and talk show presented warts and all by unprofessional weirdos. We interview nobodies and talk about nothing. A showcase of local subjects, verbs, and objects -- because language is metaphor and words are a shallow, frail vessel for describing the richness of life but it's all we have on the radio."
It's going to be fun on a bun!
"Light the Fire" Wildcard Series
The federal government has designated Kingston as a community with a demonstrable and significant problem of homelessness. It’s a reprehensible reality: statistics show that we lack affordable housing, have low vacancy rates, and an increasing post-secondary student demand on housing. Worse still, one in ten Kingston families lives in poverty. Within this reality, people cannot accommodate even basic needs with an adequate standard of living.
