Three women killed in horror weekend on West Australian roads

Three women have lost their lives in car crashes on the state's roads on the weekend.

Two women were killed and another rushed to hospital after a crash in the Great Southern on Sunday afternoon.

Reports said the car they were travelling in had hit a tree on Nindiup Road in Mount Barker just before 1pm.

A 41-year-old woman died after a head-on crash near Mandurah on Saturday night.

The woman was driving her Holden Commodore east on Dampier Drive when she crashed into a Mitsubishi Triton driving north on Mandurah Road around 10.20pm. 

The female driver of the Commodore died at the scene. A 31-year-old woman and 51-year-old man, who were passengers in the Mitsubishi, were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with injuries.
