Bobby Harvey Featuring BTNY – Handle Me (FGTN Toys Kid Glove Remix)

FGTN Toys
Debutants last year on Drum Records, and we’ve kept a close eye on them since. They have continued to release high end creative remixes for a number of labels, and we could not wait to welcome them back to the brand where it started for them. They returned a mix that not only raised the bar for them, but they high jumped over the bar, and gave us a techno infused bass synth remix, which gets weird in all the right places. We love weird!!!

Detroit Project

Manchester and Detroit share a lineage both in terms of  the history of dance music and their industrial backgrounds.  So it’s no surprise that Manchester-based duo Detroit Project’s music references both: they make house music with a serious nod to the Motor City.

After making a splash at Miami this year their debut release on London-based label East Recordings is stirring up much interest. Their “On the Dance Floor” EP is available now on Traxsource and all the usual stores.

Paisley Skies EP

Denied Music is the brainchild of US producer/DJ Daniel Allen and his label bears the hallmarks of his taste in underground house, tech-house and techno.  In this vein Denied will be releasing Pablo del Monte’s ‘Paisley Skies’ EP available exclusively through Traxsource on 10th June.

This EP is for full moons and city lights. It’s for dropping the mundane for the moment, for the call. With a keen vocal and crisp bounce, the title track is cathartic house at its finest. The ‘Paisley’ instrumental belts the same invitation of the original, while del Monte’s ‘Dub Frequency’ evokes cosmic reggae soul.

Out Now: Get Physical Music Presents: Full Body Workout Vol. 18 – Mixed by Kevin Yost

With the season well underway, Get Physical is hitting the ground running with the 18th edition of Full Body Workout. If case you’ve been living under a rock the last decade, Full Body Workout aims to shine a spotlight on some of the hottest rising and established talent for their take on where the scene is now, and where it might be headed. So finding tracks by visionaries like Pezzner, NIBC and Nils Hoffman shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Get Physical Music Presents: Full Body Workout Vol. 18 – Mini Mix

The compilation opens with a floor-moving tech-house groove from Supernova to set everything into motion. Quickly following is Pezzner with ‘Julie’, a small shift down in energy initially, only to rise to peak time levels over the course of the track. Eagles & Butterflies then shakes down the floor with a percussion driven beauty, ‘Awakening’. Nils Hoffman up next. The young German producer delivers a stunning track full of bass swells and calls it ‘Storms’. Hold out for the elegant piano lines in the break, a brilliant contrast to the dark and heavy bass surrounding it. Now we’ve reached the halfway point, and we don’t want to spoil the surprises to come from the likes of NIBC, Kevin Yost (who’s skillfully pulled of the continuous mix here as well), Savvas Ysatis & Olga Kouklaki, P41, Hawie and Ilona Maras, Sanja feat. Sutja Gutierrez.

dj-Vox’s latest release takes off

US producer dj-Vox has been flying high of late with his tech-house sound  being supported by the likes of Luciano (Cadenza). His latest release “Heathrow” is out now on East Recordings exclusively through Juno Download, who have featured the EP on the front page of the store.

We’re really feeling the lead sound on this one. Perfect for 5am at a Drum Code party. We were curious though about the track’s title. After a recent European tour, the first leg of which was in London, dj-Vox told us he decided to name it after the city’s international airport! So go grab your passport and ticket, and buy a copy of “Heathrow” here.
