This is the first video in a series i'm going to call History Walks, this instalment sees me walk the entire length of what was once the Cromford Canal in Derbyshire. The Canal once stretched some 14.5 miles from Cromford in the Derwent Valley to Langley Mill in the Erewash Valley. The 33 minute video documents my journey along this iconic waterway, I traced the original route as closely as possible and show you some of the highlights along the way. I hope you enjoy it :-)

This is the "Definitive Downtown Indy Canal Walk Video Tour" 1080P HD 60fps 3-axis gimbal (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Part 1
I chose a very sunny day to shoot this video. I used a GoPro Hero4 Black, set to 1080P, 60fps, stabilized with a Zhiyun Z1-Rider2 3-axis universally mountable gimbal. I used a motorcycle helmet (instead of just a regular cycling helmet) as a platform for added stability, due to the weight of the camera/gimbal system.
I purposely pedaled my TREK 7500 bicycle relatively slowly, for best safety and clearness of video.

Canal Walk is a shopping centre in Cape Town, South Africa, that opened in 2000 and was built around a series of canals. It has a total retail area of 141,000-square-metre (1,520,000 sq ft). The centre forms the heart of a mixed-use development known as Century City, which includes office blocks, residential areas and the Ratanga Junction theme park.
Canal Walk is the 3rd largest shopping centre in Africa (Gateway Centre in Durban is the largest ) and the Sandton City complex in Johannesburg is larger if you include the Nelson Mandela Square annex. Built in what the developers call "Cape Venetian architecture", the shopping centre hosts over 400 stores, 7000 parking bays, numerous restaurants, 20 cinemas plus a game arcade.

This is the "Definitive Downtown Indy Canal Walk Video Tour" 1080P HD 60fps 3-axis gimbal (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Part 1
I chose a very sunny day to shoot this video. I used a GoPro Hero4 Black, set to 1080P, 60fps, stabilized with a Zhiyun Z1-Rider2 3-axis universally mountable gimbal. I used a motorcycle helmet (instead of just a regular cycling helmet) as a platform for added stability, due to the weight of the camera/gimbal system.
I purposely pedaled my TREK 7500 bicycle relatively slowly, for best safety and clearness of video.
