Negara-negara Kepulauan Pasifik mengkritik catatan HAM Indonesia di Papua dan Papua Barat.
Mereka mengungkapkan hal tersebut saat mendapat kesempatan berpidato di Sidang Umum PBB dan mendesak digelarnya penentuan nasib sendiri di wilayah tersebut.
Komentar ini mendapatkan respons kuat dari delegasi Indonesia, yang mengatakan kritik itu bermotif politik dan dirancang untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah di negara mereka sendiri.
Delegasi dari Kepulauan Solomon, Vanuatu, Nauru, Kepulauan Marshall, Tuvalu, dan Tonga, semuanya menyatakan keprihatinan atas kondisi di Papua itu.
Perdana Menteri Kepulauan Solomon, Manasye Sogavare, mengatakan, dugaan pelanggaran HAM di Provinsi Papua Barat terkait dengan keinginan daerah itu untuk merdeka.
"Pelanggaran HAM di Papua Barat dan upaya untuk menentukan diri sendiri di Papua Barat adalah dua sisi dari koin," katanya.
"Banyak laporan pelanggaran HAM di Papua Barat menunjukkan hubungan erat antara hak untuk menentukan nasib sendiri dengan terjadinya pelanggaran langsung terhadap hak asasi manusia oleh Indonesia dan upaya untuk meredakan segala bentuk oposisi," kata dia.
Namun, argumen dari negara-negara kepulauan di Samudra Pasifik itu dibantah diplomat muda Indonesia di PBB, Nara Masista Rakhmatia.
Saat mendapat giliran berbicara, Rakhmatia menyebut negara-negara kepulauan di Pasifik itu telah mengganggu kedaulatan nasional Indonesia.
"Laporan bermotif politik mereka dirancang untuk mendukung kelompok-kelompok separatis di Provinsi Papua Barat, yang telah secara konsisten terlibat menghasut kekacauan publik dan dalam melakukan serangan teroris bersenjata," katanya.
"Ini adalah bentuk pelanggaran kedaulatan dan integritas wilayah negara kami. Hal ini sangat disesalkan dan berbahaya bagi negara-negara ini untuk menyalahgunakan forum PBB, termasuk sidang pada Agustus ini," kata Rakhmatia.
"Negara-negara ini menggunakan Majelis Umum PBB untuk memajukan agenda domestik mereka dan bagi beberapa negara menggunakan forum ini untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah politik dan sosial di dalam negeri mereka sendiri," katanya.
Wilayah bekas koloni Belanda, Papua Barat, telah menjadi bagian dari Indonesia sejak 1969 melalui sebuah referendum kontroversial yang diawasi PBB.
Pendukung kemerdekaan mengatakan, pemungutan suara itu, yang juga dikenal sebagai Pepera, tidak sah sehingga referendum kedua terkait status wilayah itu harus digelar.
Upaya untuk melepaskan diri dari Indonesia telah memicu konflik panjang di wilayah yang kaya sumber daya alam tersebut.

Nara Masista Rakhmatia kini jadi obrolan banyak orang utamanya di media sosial. Diplomat muda ini mendapat perhatian karena berbicara tegas soal kedaulatan Indonesia di Sidang Umum Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB).
Di Sidang PBB, Nara mengecam tudingan negara-negara di Kepulauan Pasifik yang mengkritik catatan HAM di Papua. Mereka yang mengkritik Indonesia adalah kepala pemerintahan dari Kepulauan Solomon dan Vanuatu yang didukung oleh Nauru, Kepulauan Marshall, Tuvalu dan Tonga.
"Apa yang disampaikan oleh Nara sudah tentu bukan apa yang dipikirkan dan diaspirasikan oleh Nara sendiri. Nara duduk di kursi yang disediakan untuk delegasi Indonesia. Dengan demikian Nara mewakili suara Indonesia sebagai negara," ujar Guru Besar Hukum Internasional dari Universitas Indonesia (UI) Hikmahanto Juwana, Kamis (29/9/2016).
Sebagai diplomat muda di Perwakilan Tetap Republik Indonesia (PTRI), Nara menunjukkan kualitasnya menjadi 'juru bicara' perwakilan Indonesia. Karena itu pemerintah RI harus memberikan kepercayaan lebih dengan melibatkan para diplomat muda.

"Harus diakui dengan suara yang tegas dan bahasa Inggris yang lancar seolah penutur asli (native speaker), Nara telah menunjukkan betapa diplomat berusia muda pun mampu tampil dengan prima mewakili Indonesia. Untuk itu diplomat muda perlu diberikan porsi untuk lebih banyak berperan dalam fora internasional. Seperti Nara, para diplomat muda tidak akan mengecewakan saat mereka diberi kepercayaan," tutur Hikmahanto.
Nara sebelumnya merespons kritik yang disampaikan negara-negara di Kepulauan Pasifik soal dugaan pelanggaran HAM di Papua dan Papua Barat terkait dorongan untuk memerdekakan diri. Nara menyebut kritik itu bermotif politik dan dirancang untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah di negara mereka sendiri.
Tudingan ini disebut Nara sebagai upaya mengganggu kedaulatan nasional Indonesia. Nara menyebut negara-negara tersebut punya agenda tersendiri dan menggunakan forum Majelis Umum PBB untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah politik dan sosial dalam negeri mereka.

West Papua (province)
West Papua (Indonesian: Papua Barat) is a province of Indonesia. It covers the two western peninsulas of the island of New Guinea. Its capital is Manokwari, although the largest city is Sorong, and the 2010 census recorded a population of 760,855; the latest official estimate (as at January 2014) is 877,437.
West Papua Province was created from the western portion of Papua (province) in February 2003, initially under the name of West Irian Jaya' (Indonesian: Irian Jaya Barat); it received its current name in 2007. The province covers the Bird's Head (Doberai) and Bomberai peninsulas and the surrounding islands of Raja Ampat. With a population of 877,437 in 2014, it is the least populous province of Indonesia except for the newly created province of North Kalimantan.
History
Even after Indonesia's independence in 1945, Papua and Irian Jaya were retained by the Dutch for various reasons. However, Indonesia claimed all of the territory of the former Dutch East Indies, including the Dutch New Guinea holdings, so it invaded Irian Jaya in 1961. It was agreed that by 1969 the UN should oversee a plebiscite of the people of Papua and West Papua, in which they would be given two choices: to remain part of Indonesia or to become an independent nation. This vote was referred to as the 'Act of Free Choice'. But, the vote was in fact conducted by musyawarah, or consensus of elders, numbering 1,000 of these men had been selected by the Indonesian military. This body was coerced into unanimously voting to remain part of Indonesia; the territory was named as the province of Irian Jaya, later Papua.

E.S. Posthumus
E.S. Posthumus was an independent music group that produced a form of 21st-century classical music that intertwined popular style drum rhythms with orchestral and electronic sounds. Their music is inspired by the Pythagorean philosophy which states that "music is the harmonization of opposites; the conciliation of warring elements". The E.S. is an acronym for "Experimental Sounds" while Posthumus (Latin: postumus, meaning "after" or "end") is a word that is meant to represent "all things past", suggesting the music was inspired by things that have ended, some time after they ended.
The group was formed in 2000 by brothers Helmut and Franz Vonlichten. Helmut and Franz studied piano with their mother. After graduating from high school, Franz worked in recording studios while Helmut attended and graduated from UCLA, with a degree in archaeology. Their music has been licensed by many movie and television production studios, being included in numerous movie trailers and television shows. E.S. Posthumus released three albums overall in their career.

Briggs sacrifices his life to blow up a bridge and slow down the group while Sam heads to Colony 7. When Sam arrives, Mason has taken the power and cuffs him, and does not believe on his words. Soon the cannibals arrive and the group has to fight to survive.

"Banyak laporan pelanggaran HAM di Papua Barat menunjukkan hubungan erat antara hak untuk menentukan nasib sendiri dengan terjadinya pelanggaran langsung terhadap hak asasi manusia oleh Indonesia dan upaya untuk meredakan segala bentuk oposisi," kata dia.
Namun, argumen dari negara-negara kepulauan di Samudra Pasifik itu dibantah diplomat muda Indonesia di PBB, Nara Masista Rakhmatia.
Saat mendapat giliran berbicara, Rakhmatia menyebut negara-negara kepulauan di Pasifik itu telah mengganggu kedaulatan nasional Indonesia.
"Laporan bermotif politik mereka dirancang untuk mendukung kelompok-kelompok separatis di Provinsi Papua Barat, yang telah secara konsisten terlibat menghasut kekacauan publik dan dalam melakukan serangan teroris bersenjata," katanya.
"Ini adalah bentuk pelanggaran kedaulatan dan integritas wilayah negara kami. Hal ini sangat disesalkan dan berbahaya bagi negara-negara ini untuk menyalahgunakan forum PBB, termasuk sidang pada Agustus ini," kata Rakhmatia.
"Negara-negara ini menggunakan Majelis Umum PBB untuk memajukan agenda domestik mereka dan bagi beberapa negara menggunakan forum ini untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah politik dan sosial di dalam negeri mereka sendiri," katanya.
Wilayah bekas koloni Belanda, Papua Barat, telah menjadi bagian dari Indonesia sejak 1969 melalui sebuah referendum kontroversial yang diawasi PBB.
Pendukung kemerdekaan mengatakan, pemungutan suara itu, yang juga dikenal sebagai Pepera, tidak sah sehingga referendum kedua terkait status wilayah itu harus digelar.
Upaya untuk melepaskan diri dari Indonesia telah memicu konflik panjang di wilayah yang kaya sumber daya alam tersebut.

Wilayah bekas koloni Belanda, Papua Barat, telah menjadi bagian dari Indonesia sejak 1969 melalui sebuah referendum kontroversial yang diawasi PBB.
Pendukung kemerdekaan mengatakan, pemungutan suara itu, yang juga dikenal sebagai Pepera, tidak sah sehingga referendum kedua terkait status wilayah itu harus digelar.
Upaya untuk melepaskan diri dari Indonesia telah memicu konflik panjang di wilayah yang kaya sumber daya alam tersebut.

Nara Masista Rakhmatia kini jadi obrolan banyak orang utamanya di media sosial. Diplomat muda ini mendapat perhatian karena berbicara tegas soal kedaulatan Indonesia di Sidang Umum Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB).
Di Sidang PBB, Nara mengecam tudingan negara-negara di Kepulauan Pasifik yang mengkritik catatan HAM di Papua. Mereka yang mengkritik Indonesia adalah kepala pemerintahan dari Kepulauan Solomon dan Vanuatu yang didukung oleh Nauru, Kepulauan Marshall, Tuvalu dan Tonga.
"Apa yang disampaikan oleh Nara sudah tentu bukan apa yang dipikirkan dan diaspirasikan oleh Nara sendiri. Nara duduk di kursi yang disediakan untuk delegasi Indonesia. Dengan demikian Nara mewakili suara Indonesia sebagai negara," ujar Guru Besar Hukum Internasional dari Universitas Indonesia (UI) Hikmahanto Juwana, Kamis (29/9/2016).
Sebagai diplomat muda di Perwakilan Tetap Republik Indonesia (PTRI), Nara menunjukkan kualitasnya menjadi 'juru bicara' perwakilan Indonesia. Karena itu pemerintah RI harus memberikan kepercayaan lebih dengan melibatkan para diplomat muda.

"Harus diakui dengan suara yang tegas dan bahasa Inggris yang lancar seolah penutur asli (native speaker), Nara telah menunjukkan betapa diplomat berusia muda pun mampu tampil dengan prima mewakili Indonesia. Untuk itu diplomat muda perlu diberikan porsi untuk lebih banyak berperan dalam fora internasional. Seperti Nara, para diplomat muda tidak akan mengecewakan saat mereka diberi kepercayaan," tutur Hikmahanto.
Nara sebelumnya merespons kritik yang disampaikan negara-negara di Kepulauan Pasifik soal dugaan pelanggaran HAM di Papua dan Papua Barat terkait dorongan untuk memerdekakan diri. Nara menyebut kritik itu bermotif politik dan dirancang untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah di negara mereka sendiri.
Tudingan ini disebut Nara sebagai upaya mengganggu kedaulatan nasional Indonesia. Nara menyebut negara-negara tersebut punya agenda tersendiri dan menggunakan forum Majelis Umum PBB untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari masalah politik dan sosial dalam negeri mereka.
"Laporan bermotif politik mereka dirancang untuk mendukung kelompok-kelompok separatis di provinsi Papua Barat, yang telah secara konsisten terlibat dalam menghasut kekacauan publik dan dalam melakukan serangan teroris bersenjata. Mahasiswa Papua menuntut pembebasan Propinsi Papua Barat. Ini adalah bentuk pelanggaran kedaulatan dan integritas wilayah negara kami. Hal ini sangat disesalkan dan berbahaya bagi negara-negara ini untuk menyalahgunakan forum PBB," ujar Nara membacakan tanggapan tertulis.
