Screen estate is taken up by the permanent "full coverage" tab on the bottom that does not go away and then address bar on the top that also does not hide itself while scrolling. I like the variety of news to pick from but viewing an actual article gives you a worse experience than in Chrome which is weird for a dedicated news app. It needs work.

Within the last couple versions, they've removed the ability to "show more" under the options next to an article under "For you". This was a great way to see a few more articles on topics you migh like without having to save something under "Following". Now you can only suggest less of an article type and I'm not sure how to easily see more of something. -- They also haven't fixed the AMP pages where a site uses a script when you swipe back, it shows a "more articles" screen with more ads.

Works well but ultimately useless. There's no option to automatically open the articles externally, so they open in the app with ads, which makes them unreadable. There's an option once you're in the internal browser to open externally, but if you do that for every article then you might as well just use the browser version to begin with. I realize the entire point of the internal browser is to display the ads, so it's not surprising. But a single ad of any type, any location, is one too many.
