1922 (MCMXXII) was a common year starting on Sunday (dominical letter A) of the Gregorian calendar and a common year starting on Saturday (dominical letter B) of the Julian calendar, the 1922nd year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 922nd year of the 2nd millennium, the 22nd year of the 20th century, and the 3rd year of the 1920s decade. Note that the Julian day for 1922 is 13 calendar days difference, which continued to be used from 1582 until the complete conversion of the Gregorian calendar was entirely done in 1929.
Joseph Frank "Buster" Keaton (October 4, 1895 – February 1, 1966) was an American actor, director, producer, writer, and stunt performer. He was best known for his silent films, in which his trademark was physical comedy with a consistently stoic, deadpan expression, earning him the nickname "The Great Stone Face". Keaton was recognized as the seventh-greatest film director by Entertainment Weekly. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Keaton the 21st greatest male star of Classic Hollywood Cinema. Critic Roger Ebert wrote of Keaton's "extraordinary period from 1920 to 1929, [when] he worked without interruption on a series of films that make him, arguably, the greatest actor-director in the history of the movies". His career declined afterward with a dispiriting loss of his artistic independence when he was hired by MGM, which resulted in a crippling alcoholism that ruined his family life. He recovered in the 1940s, remarried, and revived his career to a degree as an honored comic performer for the rest of his life, earning an Academy Honorary Award in 1959.
Erich von Stroheim (September 22, 1885 – May 12, 1957) was an Austrian-American director, actor and producer, most notable as being a film star of the silent era, subsequently noted as an auteur for his directorial work.
Stroheim was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1885 as Erich Oswald Stroheim, the son of Benno Stroheim, a middle-class hat-maker, and Johanna Bondy, both of whom were observant Jews.
Stroheim emigrated to America at the end of 1909. On arrival at Ellis Island, he claimed to be Count Erich Oswald Hans Carl Maria von Stroheim und Nordenwall, the son of Austrian nobility like the characters he played in his films, but both Billy Wilder and Stroheim's agent Paul Kohner claimed that he spoke with a decidedly lower-class Austrian accent. Jean Renoir writes in his memoirs: “Stroheim spoke hardly any German. He had to study his lines like a schoolboy learning a foreign language.” Later, while living in Europe, Stroheim claimed in published remarks to have "forgotten" his native tongue. In Renoir's movie la Grande Illusion, Stroheim speaks German with a strong American accent.

The FN Model 1910 is famous for having plunged Europe into a World War after slaying Archduke Franz Ferdinand, but behind all the infamy is a very sound design. John Browning created the 1910 and it sold very well, and the 1922 is a version with a larger grip and barrel to make it more suitable for military use at the time. In this episode of TFBTV we do some shooting with a very historically significant example. Many THANKS to: Ventura Munitions: http://bit.ly/1LKxNRP Please Support Them! There's someone out there, Out in the snow
I think that I knew her, long time ago
Homemade outfit, frayed cap and gloves
She is a monument, a tribute cause.
(CHORUS)
It must be a bus stop, there through the snow
The wind whips right through her thin winter coat
(Mm-hmm)
She pulls a cart behind her, there are tracks in the snow
That lead to her possessions, tied up just so.
I know that I knew her, but I can't say how.
Long time before anyway, the way she is now.
There's someone out there, but I can't make her out
Salvation Army shoes on, sole all walked out.
I know that I knew her, we were in love.
Long time gone anyhow, there comes the bus
(CHORUS)
Crowd pushes past her, no one looks twice
She looks through her window, and I catch her eye
She doesn't know me, She looks away.
The bus slowly disappears through the snowy haze.
