Mike Marqusee in Guardian.
Loved by all Progressive Humanity.
Mike Marqusee has a moving and important article in the Guardian today. ( here)
He is, as we all know, extremely ill. Cancer. Worst kind.
Mike Marqusee was an ‘historic’ editor of Labour Briefing.
His contribution to the left is second to none.
My dad, an old style Labour man, after his stroke and when he was in in Hartesmere Hospital, used to cut out his articles from the papers.
His proud boast? He would tell the staff that “my son knows Mike Marqusee”.
Beloved comrade, what more can we say?
We didn’t all know. At least not all of us across the pond. I’m very sad to hear this.
His book on Bob Dylan, “Wicked Messenger,” is brilliant.

I tried to post on the Guardian site but I can’t work out how to log on. So, in the hopes that Mike is reading this, very sorry to hear about your illness, Steve King told us earlier this year. Don’t the darnedest things happen to the darndest people.
