A torch is a stick with combustible material at one end, which is ignited and used as a light source. Torches have been used throughout history, and are still used in processions, symbolic and religious events, and in juggling entertainment. In some countries the word torch is used as the term for a 'battery operated portable light'.
From the Old French "torche" meaning "twisted thing," hence "torch formed of twisted tow dipped in wax," probably from Vulgar Latin *torca, alteration of Late Latin torqua, variant of classical Latin torques "collar of twisted metal," from torquere "to twist".
Torch construction has varied through history depending the torch's purpose. Torches were usually constructed of a wooden stave with one end wrapped in a material which was soaked in a flammable substance. In ancient Rome some torches were made of sulfur mixed with lime. This meant that the fire would not diminish after being plunged into water. Modern procession torches are made from coarse hessian rolled into a tube and soaked in wax. There is usually a wooden handle and a cardboard collar to deflect any wax droplets. They are an easy, safe and relatively cheap way to hold a flame aloft in a parade, or to provide illumination in any after-dark celebration.
Soft Cell are an English synthpop duo who came to prominence in the early 1980s, consisting of vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist David Ball. The duo are principally known for their 1981 hit version of "Tainted Love" (#8 US) and 1981 debut album entitled Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret.
In the United Kingdom, they had ten Top 40 hits including "Tainted Love" (#1 UK), "Torch" (#2 UK), "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" (#3 UK), "What!" (#3 UK), and "Bedsitter" (#4 UK), and also had four Top 20 albums between 1981 and 1984. In 1984, the duo split but reformed from 2001 to 2004 to tour and record new material, releasing their fifth studio album, Cruelty Without Beauty in 2002.
Soft Cell's songs have been covered by various artists including Nine Inch Nails, David Gray, Nouvelle Vague, Marilyn Manson, and A-ha. Their track, "Memorabilia", earned recognition for the band as pioneers of the synth-oriented techno genre. The duo have sold 10 million records worldwide.
Real Friends is an American rock band from Tinley Park, Illinois. The band has released six EPs and one studio album. The band is currently signed to Fearless Records.
Kyle Fasel and Dave Knox started the band in late 2010, later adding vocalist Dan Lambton and drummer Aaron Schuck. The band recorded its debut EP, This Is Honesty, in the spring of 2011. Following the release of the EP, the band began playing shows around the Midwest, but soon after decided to revamp its sound as the band members did not want to continue with with the musical direction they were headed in. During the writing process of Everyone That Dragged You Here, Aaron Schuck decided to leave the band to pursue a career in race car driving. His departure led to the addition of Brian Blake on drums and Eric Haines as the second guitarist.
The band announced in late 2013 that it had signed to Fearless Records, along with plans of a studio album in the following year. The band released its debut album, Maybe This Place Is the Same and We're Just Changing on July 22, 2014. The album sold a little over 10,000 copies in the first week of sales, putting them at number 24 on the Billboard 200. The band played on the 2014 Vans Warped Tour supporting the album's release, appearing on the Journey's Stage. More Acoustic Song EP was released for Record Store Day on April 28, 2015. One of the tracks, an acoustic version of "Late Nights in My Car", features Kevin Jordan from This Wild Life.
FurReal Friends is a toy brand division of Hasbro created in 2002 of robotic pets. The robotic toys range from guinea pigs to dinosaurs. They come in many sizes — some are able to be held in a child's hand and others are able to be ridden by a child. The prices range from $6 to $300. All of the toys move in some way. The FurReal Friends slogan was "They love you for real, FurReal Friends." As of 2013, it is "My best friends are FurReal Friends."
FurReal is noted for its animatronic replications of creatures and domestic animals as an alternative to live pets, or emulating the behaviors of pets commonly desired by children including horses, cats, and dogs. Certain robotics may be designed to represent creatures unfit for domestication. Bouncy, a robotic puppy, can jump and turn in a circle when a child waves their hand across her head. With Zambi, a robotic elephant manufactured and intended for charitable sales, a portion of its proceeds benefit charities.
Another notable toy manufactured by FurReal was the Butterscotch Pony, a large, animatronic, whinnying pony, among the toy line's products designed for children to sit on. The pony was designed with an assortment of sound effects mimicking those of live horses and opened a gateway to the production of a second animatronic pony named S'mores of slightly higher quality with more sound effects.

Plot: April's Shower is a comedy about love, romance and expectation. The story follows unpredictable twists and turns until it climaxes with a madcap finale. The hilarity belies the poignancy of truth and love and the laughter is punctuated with honesty, tenderness and pain. At the beginning, the cast assembles for a seemingly traditional wedding shower. The action is captured inside an eclectic, three-story craftsman - itself serving as a central character to the story. As the script progresses, layers are slowly pulled away revealing secret relationships and subversive undercurrents - the wedding shower quickly becomes a free for all. Just when we think we have a grasp on each character's inner-motives, more characters get sucked into the fray altering everyone's dynamic and the course of April's "perfect" shower. We open on the main character Alex, a chef, put out by her effort for the shower and struggling with her desire to make things "picture-perfect." She is really hiding her true emotional motivation behind a mask. As April, the bride-to-be arrives, Alex's mask begins to slip away. It slowly becomes obvious that Alex, the disgruntled maid-of-honor, carries a secret that effects not just the course of her life, but that of almost everyone at the shower. In the end, Alex unveils her secret, an act of truth, which forces this crazed cast of characters to re-examine their own lives. April's Shower demands you to ask how far would you go for true love and if you have the strength to live in your truth. Once you have walked into April's Shower you can never leave. The hunky pizza guy, the mad Scotsman and a parade of Firemen all become invited guests - men almost out numbering the women. With a shower like this, what could go wrong with the wedding?

Waiting for the sun to come to guide me into hell and gone
Angels falling from the sky, with broken wings they cannot fly
Don't turn away, every time we talk about it.
Don't turn away, every time we talk about it
Every time we talk...
...you take my time, don't waste my time
How can I...
...re-fraise your mind when both eyes are blind?
How can I?
Once again I'll fake a smile and loose myself for a while
Remember to forget to hate, show me how to tollerate
Don't turn away, every time we talk about it.
Don't turn away, every time we talk about it
Every time we talk...
...you take my time, don't waste my time
How can I...
...re-fraise your mind when both eyes are blind?
How can I?
How can I... re-fraise your mind?
...you take my time, don't waste my time
How can I...
