Paula Prentiss (born Paula Ragusa; March 4, 1938) is an American actress best known for her film roles in Where the Boys Are, Man's Favorite Sport?, The Stepford Wives, What's New Pussycat?, The Black Marble, and The Parallax View, and the cult television series He & She.
Prentiss was born Paula Ragusa in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Paulene (née Gardner) and Thomas J. Ragusa, a Social Sciences professor at San Antonio's University of the Incarnate Word, who was of Sicilian descent.
Before high school, Paula, who grew to 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), was always the tallest person in class. She attended Lamar High School in Houston, Texas. In 1958 while studying drama at Northwestern University, she met future husband Richard Benjamin, who impressed her with his sophistication and height (he was taller than she was). While attending Northwestern she was discovered by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and was offered a film contract.
Prentiss first became known as a comedic actress in the early 1960s with such films as Where the Boys Are, The Honeymoon Machine, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Horizontal Lieutenant. In all four films Prentiss was paired with the 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m) actor Jim Hutton, as they were the two tallest male and female contract players at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
Richard Samuel Benjamin (born May 22, 1938) is an American actor and film director.
He has starred in a number of well-known film productions, including Goodbye, Columbus (1969), based on the novella by Philip Roth;Catch-22 (1970), from the Joseph Heller best-seller;Westworld (1973), a science-fiction thriller by Michael Crichton; and The Sunshine Boys (1975), written by Neil Simon.
After directing for television, Benjamin's first feature as director was 1982 comedy My Favorite Year, for which star Peter O'Toole was Oscar-nominated. His other films as director include City Heat (1984), starring Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood, Made in America and The Money Pit (1986) with Tom Hanks .
Benjamin was born in New York City, the son of Samuel Roger Benjamin (1910-1997), a garment industry worker, and Chelsea Angelina (née Roberts) Benjamin (1913-1959), a homemaker. His family was Jewish. He attended the High School of Performing Arts and graduated from Northwestern University, where he was involved in many plays and studied in the Northwestern theater school.

Saturday the 14th is a 1981 American horror-comedy film starring real-life husband and wife Paula Prentiss and Richard Benjamin, co-written and directed by Howard R. Cohen and produced by Julie Corman.
A spoof of classic horror movies, it was followed by Saturday the 14th Strikes Back in 1988.
An all-American family inherits a deceased uncle's house. John (Richard Benjamin) and Mary (Paula Prentiss), together with daughter Debbie (Kari Michaelsen) and son Billy (Kevin Brando), move in, but Waldemar (Jeffrey Tambor), a vampire, and Yolanda (Nancy Lee Andrews), his wife, want desperately to get into the rundown house because it contains a book of evil.
Billy finds the mysterious book. He reads of a curse hanging over the date of Saturday the 14th. As he turns the page, a monster is unleashed, and with each turn another disappears from the page and is materialized within or outside the home. The house is soon swarming with monsters.
Strange things start happening: eyes appear in John's coffee, sandwiches are mysteriously eaten, the television tunes into The Twilight Zone only, dirt is found in Mary's bed, dishes get done by themselves, neighbors disappear. As this is happening, neither John or Mary suspect anything, oblivious to the spooky occurrences around them.
Where the Boys Are (1960) is an Metrocolor and CinemaScope American coming-of-age comedy film, written by George Wells based on the novel of the same name by Glendon Swarthout, about four Midwestern college co-eds who spend spring break in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The title song "Where the Boys Are" was sung by Connie Francis, who also co-starred in a supporting role. The film was aimed at the teen market, featuring sun, sand and romance. Released in the wintertime, it inspired thousands of additional American college students to head to Fort Lauderdale for their annual spring break.
Where the Boys Are was one of the first teen films to explore adolescent sexuality and the changing sexual morals and attitudes among American college youth. It won Laurel awards for Best Comedy of the Year and Best Comedy Actress (Paula Prentiss).
The main focus of Where the Boys Are is the "coming of age" of four girl students at a Midwestern university during spring vacation. As the film opens, Merritt Andrews (Dolores Hart), the smart and assertive leader of the quartet, expresses the opinion in class that premarital sex might be something young women should experience. Her speech eventually inspires the insecure Melanie Tolman (Yvette Mimieux) to lose her virginity soon after the young women arrive in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Tuggle Carpenter (Paula Prentiss), on the other hand, seeks to be a "baby-making machine," lacking only the man to join her in marriage. Angie (Connie Francis) rounds out the group as a girl who is clueless when it comes to romance.

Career-minded couple Bill Bixby and Paula Prentiss just don't have time to watch the kids or attend to the housekeeping. So they advertise for a "wife", to assume wifely duties around the house. Enter Valerie Perrine, who takes her job very seriously-much to the dismay of real wife Prentiss. Myrna Loy, a seasoned veteran of this sort of frothy fare, appears as Prentiss' mother, while other key roles are filled by Nanette Fabray and Robert Goulet. Bill Bixby ... This violates everything that you've started here, you've started here
And I won't wait or hesitate to become what you fear, I've become what you...
I've been waiting for so long, for you to come back home, for you to come back home
And they were changing everything to say you worked alone, to say you worked alone
It was nice to know you worked alone
Was it the way I lost all control or just the way I let you down
Was it the way you thought that no one knows
How you waited for years and no one showed
Tell me did you have your turn, lesson learned
You put your hope in love, not to fail, not to burn you
You have holes in your heart and x's for eyes
You know you always say pass when you never chose sides
You were a failure to launch, your blueprints were hard to write
And I won't change or hide mistakes from those you hold dear, from those you hold
And I won't wait or hesitate, to become what you need, if you are alive or dead
It's all the same to me
Was the way I lost all control or just the way I let you down
Was it the way you thought that no one knows
How you waited for years and no one showed
Tell me did you have your turn, lesson learned
You put your hope in love, not to fail, not to burn you
You have holes in your heart and x's for eyes
You know you always say pass when you never chose sides
You know you always say pass when you never chose sides
You were a failure to launch, your blueprints were drawn to right
Cause you were my light when I needed day
You were my hope in the dark, when I knew I was lost
You were the words when I needed to pray
You were my savior
You are the ground that was never found when they started the earth
Thinking you were the sound on God's lips
These words were holding you down
And I couldn't save you, save you
Was the way I lost all control or just the way I let you down
Was it the way you thought that no one knows
How you waited for years and no one showed
Tell me did you have your turn, lesson learned
You put your hope in love, not to fail, not to burn
You have holes in your heart and x's for eyes
You were a failure to launch, your blueprints were drawn to right
You were letting go of me, you never even tried
It was written on your face, but you couldn't say goodbye
You always lose your way in mist of all your lies
You had a soul no one could save but a heart for Jesus Christ
When you lose your faith there will be no one left to blame
I hope you are thinking of my face, I hope you are dreaming of my name
When they started the earth, thinking you were the sound on God's lips
