«Im weißen Rössl» am Wolfgangsee steht bekanntlich das Glück vor der Tür. Vor allem im Sommer, wenn die Urlauber dort die Sommerfrische genießen. Nur Zahlkellner Leopold sieht das anders: Er ist unglücklich verliebt in seine Chefin, die Rössl-Wirtin Josepha Vogelhuber, die aber ein Auge auf ihren Stammgast, Rechtsanwalt Dr. Siedler, geworfen hat. Dieser wiederum interessiert sich für Ottilie, Tochter des Berliner Trikotagenfabrikanten Giesecke. Dumm nur, dass Dr. Siedler ausgerechnet dessen Geschäftskonkurrenten Sigismund Sülzheimer, der selbstverständlich auch im Rössl abgestiegen ist, in einem Patent-Streit rechtlich vertritt. Und da der Sigismund nichts dafür kann, dass er so schön ist, will er das Herz des schüchternen Klärchens mit dem charmanten S-Fehler erobern. Bei so einem Liebeschaos bedarf es schon einer ordnenden Hand "von oben". Kaiser Franz Joseph höchstpersönlich nimmt sich der Sache an und löst alles in Wohlgefallen auf: Leopold erhält Josepha, Dr. Siedler seine Ottilie und Sigismund das Klärchen, denn "'S ist einmal im Leben so" wie seine Majestät ganz richtig resümiert.
Die 1930 in Berlin uraufgeführte Operette wurde für Ralph Benatzky zu einem bis heute ungebrochenen Erfolg.

A Nice, une sympathique ville de la cote d'azur dans le sud de la France, nous pouvons encore entendre du vrai R'N' R, reprise par trois passionnés répondant sous le nom de « The Swamp Cats ». Uwe, le guitariste et chanteur joue depuis plus de 30 ans, il fut influencé par beaucoup de bluesman, d'artistes de rock'n roll et rockabilly comme Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Johnny Burnette... , et la liste est encore longue.
A la fin de l'été 2009, Uwe rencontra Fred et Emeric, deux jeunes musiciens niçois, tout deux intéressés par cette musique. Rapidement Fred troqua sa basse contre une contrebasse, et le tour fut joué, un des plus électrifiant et incontournable groupe du sud de la France était né.
Le fait que la musique des « The swamp cats » est appréciée par les plus vieux, se rappelant leur belle jeunesse, mais aussi par de nombreux jeunes se laissant transporter par cette joyeuse musique, prouve clairement que le Rock'nRoll n'a aucune limite.

The White Horse Inn
Im weißen Rößl (English title: White Horse Inn or The White Horse Inn) is an operetta or musical comedy by Ralph Benatzky and Robert Stolz in collaboration with a number of other composers and writers, set in the picturesque Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria. It is about the head waiter of the White Horse Inn in St. Wolfgang who is desperately in love with the owner of the inn, a resolute young woman who at first only has eyes for one of her regular guests. Sometimes classified as an operetta, the show enjoyed huge successes both on Broadway and in the West End (651 performances at the Coliseum starting 8 April 1931) and was filmed several times. In a way similar to The Sound of Music and the three Sissi movies, the play and its film versions have contributed to the saccharine image of Austria as an alpine idyll—the kind of idyll tourists have been seeking for almost a century now. Today, Im weißen Rößl is mainly remembered for its songs, many of which have become popular classics.

«Im weißen Rössl» am Wolfgangsee steht bekanntlich das Glück vor der Tür. Vor allem im Sommer, wenn die Urlauber dort die Sommerfrische genießen. Nur Zahlkellner Leopold sieht das anders: Er ist unglücklich verliebt in seine Chefin, die Rössl-Wirtin Josepha Vogelhuber, die aber ein Auge auf ihren Stammgast, Rechtsanwalt Dr. Siedler, geworfen hat. Dieser wiederum interessiert sich für Ottilie, Tochter des Berliner Trikotagenfabrikanten Giesecke. Dumm nur, dass Dr. Siedler ausgerechnet dessen Geschäftskonkurrenten Sigismund Sülzheimer, der selbstverständlich auch im Rössl abgestiegen ist, in einem Patent-Streit rechtlich vertritt. Und da der Sigismund nichts dafür kann, dass er so schön ist, will er das Herz des schüchternen Klärchens mit dem charmanten S-Fehler erobern. Bei so einem Liebeschaos bedarf es schon einer ordnenden Hand "von oben". Kaiser Franz Joseph höchstpersönlich nimmt sich der Sache an und löst alles in Wohlgefallen auf: Leopold erhält Josepha, Dr. Siedler seine Ottilie und Sigismund das Klärchen, denn "'S ist einmal im Leben so" wie seine Majestät ganz richtig resümiert.
Die 1930 in Berlin uraufgeführte Operette wurde für Ralph Benatzky zu einem bis heute ungebrochenen Erfolg.

A Nice, une sympathique ville de la cote d'azur dans le sud de la France, nous pouvons encore entendre du vrai R'N' R, reprise par trois passionnés répondant sous le nom de « The Swamp Cats ». Uwe, le guitariste et chanteur joue depuis plus de 30 ans, il fut influencé par beaucoup de bluesman, d'artistes de rock'n roll et rockabilly comme Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Johnny Burnette... , et la liste est encore longue.
A la fin de l'été 2009, Uwe rencontra Fred et Emeric, deux jeunes musiciens niçois, tout deux intéressés par cette musique. Rapidement Fred troqua sa basse contre une contrebasse, et le tour fut joué, un des plus électrifiant et incontournable groupe du sud de la France était né.
Le fait que la musique des « The swamp cats » est appréciée par les plus vieux, se rappelant leur belle jeunesse, mais aussi par de nombreux jeunes se laissant transporter par cette joyeuse musique, prouve clairement que le Rock'nRoll n'a aucune limite.
