A triple EP featuring 20 brand new songs: here’s what BERRI TXARRAK’s most anticipated new project will bring, being “Time is The Only Polygraph” the translation of the title.
We definitely wanted to create something special to commemorate our 20th anniversary, so once ‘Haria Tour’ was over, we started writing new songs. It’s been a long creative process, always with the leitmotiv ’20 years, 20 songs’ in our minds.
We truly believe music is a non-stop search though, so this time we went further and divided those 20 songs in three parts: three recording sessions, each one with a different producer, three ways of understanding rock music, three totally different approaches that only agree on the fact that the song is what this is all about.
So, in 2014 we’ve been working with three producers who happen to be special for Berri Txarrak. In chronological order: Ross Robinson, Ricky Falkner and Bill Stevenson.

BERRI TXARRAK-en lan hirukoitzaren hirugarren aurrerapen singlea, ('Etsia' eta 'Lemak, aingurak'-en ondotik). Kantua egitasmoaren 3. grabaketa saiotik erauzia da, Coloradon (AEB) Bill Stevenson ekoizle mitikoaren ondoan eginikoa (The Blasting Room estudio ezagunean hain zuzen ere). 'Denbora da poligrafo bakarra' lan berria Azaro bukaeran kaleratuko da, taldearen Only In Dreams zigilu propioaren babesean.
Osotara 20 abesti berri biltzen dituen disko hirukoitza, horixe BERRI TXARRAK-en egitasmo berria taldea sortu zenetik 20 urte betetzen direnean.
Halaxe da: 20. urteurrena ospatzeko zerbait berezia eskaintzeko gogoa piztu eta ‘Haria’ bira amaitu orduko kantu berriak lantzen hasi ginen. Sortze prozesu luzeari hasiera eman genion hala, ’20 urte 20 abesti’ leloa buruan iltzatuta.
Musika etengabeko bilaketa dela sinetsita, baina, bagenuen beste asmo bat: lan berriko abestiak hiru zatitan banatzea: hiru ekoizle arras ezberdinen eskutan jartzea, rocka ulertzeko hiru molde, hiru ikuspuntu (ia) kontrajarri, ez bada kantuaren alde egiten dutela denek.

Tercer adelanto (tras 'Etsia' y 'Lemak, aingurak') del triple disco de BERRI TXARRAK, 'Denbora da poligrafo bakarra', que verá la luz a finales de Noviembre bajo el sello propio Only In Dreams. Este tema pertenece al tercer EP de dicho proyecto, grabado en el mítico estudio The Blasting Room (Fort Collins, Colorado, USA) con el productor Bill Stevenson.
Un triple disco que contiene un total de 20 nuevas canciones: he aquí el esperado nuevo proyecto de BERRI TXARRAK en el 20º aniversario de la banda. El título podría traducirse como “El tiempo es el único polígrafo”.
Así es: el cuerpo nos pedía ofrecer algo especial en una efeméride tan significativa, con lo que una vez terminada la gira de ‘Haria’ nos encerramos en el local a componer. Fue así como comenzó un largo y duro proceso creativo, con el lema de “20 años, 20 canciones” siempre en el horizonte.
Pero, convencidos de que la música es una constante búsqueda, nos propusimos afrontar la labor de una forma diferente: los temas de este trabajo se dividirían en tres partes: tres sesiones de grabación con tres productores totalmente diferentes, tres formas de entender el rock, tres puntos de vista musicales (casi) antagónicos, que sólo confluyen en el hecho de que todos ellos buscan trabajar en pro de la canción.
Así las cosas, este 2014 hemos trabajado codo con codo con tres productores especiales para nosotros. Cronológicamente: Ross Robinson, Ricky Falkner y Bill Stevenson.

1994an Lekunberrin sortua (Nafarroa), BERRI TXARRAK taldeak sei disko eta dokumental bat kaleratu ditu orain artean, etengabeko garapen musikala erakutsiaz. Euskal Herriko rock eszenatik abiatuta, munduan zehar hainbat bira egin ditu jada egun hirukoa den talde honek.
Gorka Urbizu (gitarra eta ahotsa), Aitor Goikoetxea (bateria), Mikel Lopez "Rubio" (baxua) eta Aitor Orejak (gitarra) osatu zuten taldea 2003 urtera arte. Bitarte horretan taldeak lau disko plazaratu zituen, guztiak ere GOR disketxearen abaroan: Berri Txarrak (1997), Ikasten (1999), Eskuak / Ukabilak (2001) eta Libre © (2003). Lehenengo biekin euskal eszenan euren lekutxoa egin bazuten, hirugarrenarekin eta batez ere Libre ©-rekin estatura irten eta prentsa musikalaren oniritzia jaso zituen (Estatuko urteko diskorik onena Rock Sound aldizkariaren erredakzioaren iritziz).
2003an Aitor Orejak taldea utzi eta Berri Txarrak-ek hiruko moduan jarraitzea deliberatu zuen, bere ibilbidean mugarri bihurtuko zen lana grabatzeko asmoz: Jaio.Musika.Hil (GOR, 2005). Karlos Osinagak (Lisabö) Erasoko baserri batean grabatu eta Kansasen (AEB) Ed Rosek nahastua izan zen. Mondosonorok, Entzunek eta bestelako aldizkariek urteko lanik onenen artean kokatu zuten bosgarren lan hau. Disko honekin, hirukoak aurreko urteetan irekitako nazioarteko ildoa sakondu eta soka luzeko bira burutu zuen, hiru urtetan berrehundik gora emanaldi eskaini zituztelarik: Japonia, Taiwan, Nikaragua, Mexiko, AEB... eta Europan barna hainbat tour etorriko ziren, horietako bat Rise Against taldeak gonbidatuta.
Bira erraldoi horretan bizitakoak gordetze aldera, Berri Txarrakek 70 minutuko dokumentala kaleratu zuen, Ibon A. Totorika zinemagilea lagun. Zertarako Amestu rockumental hau GOR-ek kaleratu zuen 2007an eta munduko hainbat zine jaialditan hautatua izan zen, tartean Portobelloko Film Festivala (Londres) edota Gasteizko Zinemastea.
Bira honen ostean Rubio baxulariak taldea utzi eta David Gonzalezek hartu zuen bere tokia. 2008a kantuak ondu eta nazioarteko zenbait agerraldi egiten eman ondoren (Fujirock --Japonia-, Maifest --Zürich-...), 2009ko Apirilean Chicagora jo zuen taldeak, Steve Albini soinu-ingeniariarekin batera seigarren diskoa grabatzeko xedez: Payola. Disko hau Roadrunner Records disketxe ezagunak kaleratuko zuen, 2009ko Irailan.
Payola, BTX-en disko berezienetakoa da, grabazioa erabat analogikoa izan zelako, inongo ediziorik gabe egindakoa eta Albinirekin astebete eskasean grabatua. Disko honetan rockaren alderdi gordinena eta behinena erakutsi zuen hirukoak eta 70. eta 80. hamarkadetako zenbait eragin zahar nabarmendu ahal ziren. "Maravillas" edota "Jainko Ateoa" bezalako singleak jaso zituen eta taldeak 20 herrialde baino gehiago zeharkatu zituen PAYOLA TOUR 2009-2010 entzutetsuan (Asia, Hego-Amerika, Kanada, Texasko -AEB- South by Southwest jaialdia...)
"Payola" Espainiar Estatuko disko salduenen zerrendan sartu zen zuzenean (7. tokia), euskarazko talde batek sekula lortu ez duena erdietsiz. Horrekin batera nabarmentzekoa da "Folklore" kantuak irabazi zuen punk kanta onenari INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARD saria. Kanta honetan Rise Againsteko Tim McIlrathen koroak entzun daitezke. Payolaren diseinua, Gregori Saavedra ilustratzaileak egina, saritua izan zen halaber, Madrilen ospatu ilustratzaile sariketan.
2011. urtean, Galder Izagirre bateria-jotzailea kide berri zutela, hirukoak 7. estudio lana grabatu zuen, Ross Robinson ekoizle handiarekin (Slipknot, The Cure, At The Drive-In...). Berri Txarrak Los Angelesen izan zen (Kalifornia, AEB), 50 egunetan Rossen Veniceko estudioan "Haria" lana grabatu asmoz. Disko honek 2011ko Azaroan ikusi zuen argia, Bartzelonako Kaiowas disketxearen eskutik. "Haria", BTX-en diskorik pasionalena ziurrenik, kanta bilduma biribila da, non Gorkaren pop melodiek talka egiten duten, azpitik daukaten itsaso uher instrumental bortitzarekin. Disko honetako 'FAQ' kantuan Matt Sharpek ahotsak sartu zituen (Weezer ohia, The Rentals).

Euskal Herriko rock eszenatik abiatuta, munduan zehar hainbat bira egin ditu jada egun hirukoa den talde honek. Gorka Urbizu (gitarra eta ahotsa), Aitor Goikoetxea (bateria), Mikel Lopez "Rubio" (baxua) eta Aitor Orejak (gitarra) osatu zuten taldea 2003 urtera arte. Bitarte horretan taldeak lau disko plazaratu zituen, guztiak ere GOR disketxearen abaroan: Berri Txarrak (1997), Ikasten (1999), Eskuak / Ukabilak (2001) eta Libre © (2003). Lehenengo biekin euskal eszenan euren lekutxoa egin bazuten, hirugarrenarekin eta batez ere Libre ©-rekin estatura irten eta prentsa musikalaren oniritzia jaso zituen (Estatuko urteko diskorik onena Rock Sound aldizkariaren erredakzioaren iritziz). 2003an Aitor Orejak taldea utzi eta Berri Txarrak-ek hiruko moduan jarraitzea deliberatu zuen, bere ibilbidean mugarri bihurtuko zen lana grabatzeko asmoz: Jaio.Musika.Hil (GOR, 2005). Karlos Osinagak (Lisabö) Erasoko baserri batean grabatu eta Kansasen (AEB) Ed Rosek nahastua izan zen. Mondosonorok, Entzunek eta bestelako aldizkariek urteko lanik onenen artean kokatu zuten bosgarren lan hau. Disko honekin, hirukoak aurreko urteetan irekitako nazioarteko ildoa sakondu eta soka luzeko bira burutu zuen, hiru urtetan berrehundik gora emanaldi eskaini zituztelarik: Japonia, Taiwan, Nikaragua, Mexiko, AEB... eta Europan barna hainbat tour etorriko ziren, horietako bat Rise Against taldeak gonbidatuta. Bira erraldoi horretan bizitakoak gordetze aldera, Berri Txarrakek 70 minutuko dokumentala kaleratu zuen, Ibon A. Totorika zinemagilea lagun. Zertarako Amestu rockumental hau GOR-ek kaleratu zuen 2007an eta munduko hainbat zine jaialditan hautatua izan zen, tartean Portobelloko Film Festivala (Londres) edota Gasteizko Zinemastea. Bira honen ostean Rubio baxulariak taldea utzi eta David Gonzalezek hartu zuen bere tokia. 2008a kantuak ondu eta nazioarteko zenbait agerraldi egiten eman ondoren (Fujirock --Japonia-, Maifest --Zürich-...), 2009ko Apirilean Chicagora jo zuen taldeak, Steve Albini soinu-ingeniariarekin batera seigarren diskoa grabatzeko xedez: Payola. Disko hau Roadrunner Records disketxe ezagunak kaleratuko zuen, 2009ko Irailan. Payola, BTX-en disko berezienetakoa da, grabazioa erabat analogikoa izan zelako, inongo ediziorik gabe egindakoa eta Albinirekin astebete eskasean grabatua. Disko honetan rockaren alderdi gordinena eta behinena erakutsi zuen hirukoak eta 70. eta 80. hamarkadetako zenbait eragin zahar nabarmendu ahal ziren. "Maravillas" edota "Jainko Ateoa" bezalako singleak jaso zituen eta taldeak 20 herrialde baino gehiago zeharkatu zituen PAYOLA TOUR 2009-2010 entzutetsuan (Asia, Hego-Amerika, Kanada, Texasko -AEB- South by Southwest jaialdia...) "Payola" Espainiar Estatuko disko salduenen zerrendan sartu zen zuzenean (7. tokia), euskarazko talde batek sekula lortu ez duena erdietsiz. Horrekin batera nabarmentzekoa da "Folklore" kantuak irabazi zuen punk kanta onenari INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARD saria. Kanta honetan Rise Againsteko Tim McIlrathen koroak entzun daitezke. Payolaren diseinua, Gregori Saavedra ilustratzaileak egina, saritua izan zen halaber, Madrilen ospatu ilustratzaile sariketan. 2011. urtean, Galder Izagirre bateria-jotzailea kide berri zutela, hirukoak 7. estudio lana grabatu zuen, Ross Robinson ekoizle handiarekin (Slipknot, The Cure, At The Drive-In...). Berri Txarrak Los Angelesen izan zen (Kalifornia, AEB), 50 egunetan Rossen Veniceko estudioan "Haria" lana grabatu asmoz. Disko honek 2011ko Azaroan ikusi zuen argia, Bartzelonako Kaiowas disketxearen eskutik. "Haria", BTX-en diskorik pasionalena ziurrenik, kanta bilduma biribila da, non Gorkaren pop melodiek talka egiten duten, azpitik daukaten itsaso uher instrumental bortitzarekin. Disko honetako 'FAQ' kantuan Matt Sharpek ahotsak sartu zituen (Weezer ohia, The Rentals).

A triple EP featuring 20 brand new songs: here’s what BERRI TXARRAK’s most anticipated new project will bring, being “Time is The Only Polygraph” the translation of the title.
We definitely wanted to create something special to commemorate our 20th anniversary, so once ‘Haria Tour’ was over, we started writing new songs. It’s been a long creative process, always with the leitmotiv ’20 years, 20 songs’ in our minds.
We truly believe music is a non-stop search though, so this time we went further and divided those 20 songs in three parts: three recording sessions, each one with a different producer, three ways of understanding rock music, three totally different approaches that only agree on the fact that the song is what this is all about.
So, in 2014 we’ve been working with three producers who happen to be special for Berri Txarrak. In chronological order: Ross Robinson, Ricky Falkner and Bill Stevenson.

Este tema pertenece al tercer EP de dicho proyecto, grabado en el mítico estudio The Blasting Room (Fort Collins, Colorado, USA) con el productor Bill Stevenson.
Un triple disco que contiene un total de 20 nuevas canciones: he aquí el esperado nuevo proyecto de BERRI TXARRAK en el 20º aniversario de la banda. El título podría traducirse como “El tiempo es el único polígrafo”.
Así es: el cuerpo nos pedía ofrecer algo especial en una efeméride tan significativa, con lo que una vez terminada la gira de ‘Haria’ nos encerramos en el local a componer. Fue así como comenzó un largo y duro proceso creativo, con el lema de “20 años, 20 canciones” siempre en el horizonte.
Pero, convencidos de que la música es una constante búsqueda, nos propusimos afrontar la labor de una forma diferente: los temas de este trabajo se dividirían en tres partes: tres sesiones de grabación con tres productores totalmente diferentes, tres formas de entender el rock, tres puntos de vista musicales (casi) antagónicos, que sólo confluyen en el hecho de que todos ellos buscan trabajar en pro de la canción.
Así las cosas, este 2014 hemos trabajado codo con codo con tres productores especiales para nosotros. Cronológicamente: Ross Robinson, Ricky Falkner y Bill Stevenson.

A triple EP featuring 20 brand new songs: here’s what BERRI TXARRAK’s most anticipated new project will bring, being “Time is The Only Polygraph” the translation of the title.
We definitely wanted to create something special to commemorate our 20th anniversary, so once ‘Haria Tour’ was over, we started writing new songs. It’s been a long creative process, always with the leitmotiv ’20 years, 20 songs’ in our minds.
We truly believe music is a non-stop search though, so this time we went further and divided those 20 songs in three parts: three recording sessions, each one with a different producer, three ways of understanding rock music, three totally different approaches that only agree on the fact that the song is what this is all about.
So, in 2014 we’ve been working with three producers who happen to be special for Berri Txarrak. In chronological order: Ross Robinson, Ricky Falkner and Bill Stevenson.

1994an Lekunberrin sortua (Nafarroa), BERRI TXARRAK taldeak sei disko eta dokumental bat kaleratu ditu orain artean, etengabeko garapen musikala erakutsiaz. Euskal Herriko rock eszenatik abiatuta, munduan zehar hainbat bira egin ditu jada egun hirukoa den talde honek.
Gorka Urbizu (gitarra eta ahotsa), Aitor Goikoetxea (bateria), Mikel Lopez "Rubio" (baxua) eta Aitor Orejak (gitarra) osatu zuten taldea 2003 urtera arte. Bitarte horretan taldeak lau disko plazaratu zituen, guztiak ere GOR disketxearen abaroan: Berri Txarrak (1997), Ikasten (1999), Eskuak / Ukabilak (2001) eta Libre © (2003). Lehenengo biekin euskal eszenan euren lekutxoa egin bazuten, hirugarrenarekin eta batez ere Libre ©-rekin estatura irten eta prentsa musikalaren oniritzia jaso zituen (Estatuko urteko diskorik onena Rock Sound aldizkariaren erredakzioaren iritziz).
2003an Aitor Orejak taldea utzi eta Berri Txarrak-ek hiruko moduan jarraitzea deliberatu zuen, bere ibilbidean mugarri bihurtuko zen lana grabatzeko asmoz: Jaio.Musika.Hil (GOR, 2005). Karlos Osinagak (Lisabö) Erasoko baserri batean grabatu eta Kansasen (AEB) Ed Rosek nahastua izan zen. Mondosonorok, Entzunek eta bestelako aldizkariek urteko lanik onenen artean kokatu zuten bosgarren lan hau. Disko honekin, hirukoak aurreko urteetan irekitako nazioarteko ildoa sakondu eta soka luzeko bira burutu zuen, hiru urtetan berrehundik gora emanaldi eskaini zituztelarik: Japonia, Taiwan, Nikaragua, Mexiko, AEB... eta Europan barna hainbat tour etorriko ziren, horietako bat Rise Against taldeak gonbidatuta.
Bira erraldoi horretan bizitakoak gordetze aldera, Berri Txarrakek 70 minutuko dokumentala kaleratu zuen, Ibon A. Totorika zinemagilea lagun. Zertarako Amestu rockumental hau GOR-ek kaleratu zuen 2007an eta munduko hainbat zine jaialditan hautatua izan zen, tartean Portobelloko Film Festivala (Londres) edota Gasteizko Zinemastea.
Bira honen ostean Rubio baxulariak taldea utzi eta David Gonzalezek hartu zuen bere tokia. 2008a kantuak ondu eta nazioarteko zenbait agerraldi egiten eman ondoren (Fujirock --Japonia-, Maifest --Zürich-...), 2009ko Apirilean Chicagora jo zuen taldeak, Steve Albini soinu-ingeniariarekin batera seigarren diskoa grabatzeko xedez: Payola. Disko hau Roadrunner Records disketxe ezagunak kaleratuko zuen, 2009ko Irailan.
Payola, BTX-en disko berezienetakoa da, grabazioa erabat analogikoa izan zelako, inongo ediziorik gabe egindakoa eta Albinirekin astebete eskasean grabatua. Disko honetan rockaren alderdi gordinena eta behinena erakutsi zuen hirukoak eta 70. eta 80. hamarkadetako zenbait eragin zahar nabarmendu ahal ziren. "Maravillas" edota "Jainko Ateoa" bezalako singleak jaso zituen eta taldeak 20 herrialde baino gehiago zeharkatu zituen PAYOLA TOUR 2009-2010 entzutetsuan (Asia, Hego-Amerika, Kanada, Texasko -AEB- South by Southwest jaialdia...)

Horrekin batera nabarmentzekoa da "Folklore" kantuak irabazi zuen punk kanta onenari INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARD saria. Kanta honetan Rise Againsteko Tim McIlrathen koroak entzun daitezke. Payolaren diseinua, Gregori Saavedra ilustratzaileak egina, saritua izan zen halaber, Madrilen ospatu ilustratzaile sariketan.

"Haria", BTX-en diskorik pasionalena ziurrenik, kanta bilduma biribila da, non Gorkaren pop melodiek talka egiten duten, azpitik daukaten itsaso uher instrumental bortitzarekin.
