PERTH:Â Tasmania batsman Alex Doolan was forced to retire hurt on 202, while Western Australia opener Cameron Bancroft blew his chances of a Test recall during the Sheffield Shield clash at the WACA Ground.
At tea on day three, WA were 4-156 in their second innings, giving them an overall lead of 16.

South Africa team defend Du Plessis
South Africa's captain Faf Du Plessis has been charged with ball tampering but his team has come to his defence.
Sam Whiteman was unbeaten on 78, while Jonathan Wells was on 44.
Their unbeaten 112-run stand helped steady the ship on Saturday after WA slumped to 4-44.
Bancroft's Test hopes appear dashed after he failed again in the second innings.
The WA opener scored just two in his first dig, and he was out for 11 on Saturday when he was bowled by paceman Simon Milenko.
Doolan was struck in the jaw by a Jason Behrendorff bouncer just before stumps on Friday.
The 30-year-old Tigers batsman saw out the day, but he was later diagnosed with concussion and ruled out of play on Saturday.
Tasmania started day three at 7-388 in reply to WA's first innings of 262.
But with Doolan unable to bat, Behrendorff cleaned up the tail in swift fashion to dismiss Tasmania for 402, giving an overall lead of 140.
Behrendorff finished with figures of 5-80 in an impressive display, while Simon Mackin chipped in with two wickets.
Doolan was the second player to be diagnosed with concussion in the match after WA skipper Adam Voges was felled by a bouncer on Thursday.
Voges sent a huge scare through cricketing circles when he lost sight of the ball and was struck by a Cameron Stevenson bouncer.
The 37-year-old is unlikely to bat again during the match, but coach Justin Langer said his star player still deserved to be selected for the third Test against South Africa if he could prove his fitness.
Doolan played the last of his four Tests in 2014, and his double century has put him in the frame for the day-night Test in Adelaide, starting on November 24.
He peeled off his highest Shield score in front of new chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns.
