Summer in Melbourne, On The List

21 Things On In Victoria December 5th onwards like The Kazoos, Latitude and a Fun Run

1. A TWIRLY GIG

I hate to say it, but Craigieburn and the suburbs around it are usually in the news for the wrong reasons. Sad fact. This weekend, let’s bring the community together and get along to Hume City Council’s Carols by Candlelight. The beacons that will attract are The Kazoos (below), those challengers to The Wiggles’ throne (see also: Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band, The Mik Maks), who are sure to bring joy on a balmy December evening. Charli Robinson is MC, she’s an original Hi-5 star who can nail carols and appeals to all ages. Tubby the Robot is made of aluminium and will mesmerise crowds, The Howling Huskies sled dogs will be there and performers will include Hume Dancers, Aitken Creek and Craigieburn South primary schools. There’ll be food, jumping castles and fireworks. Highgate Reserve. Sun, 5pm. Free.
