Most were left wondering how Anthony’s wife and Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima would feel about the on-air kiss however less than a day later, sources revealed to E! News, the couple have separated.

Anthony and de Lima started dating less than five months after he and Lopez announced their separation back in 2011.

The singers were married for seven years and have two children-eight year old twins Maximillian and Emme.

Anthony and de Lima married in November, 2014 in the Dominican Republic after two years of on and off dating.

The couple seemed to still be smitten with each other less than two months ago with the 28-year old model taking to Instagram to wish Anthony a happy birthday calling him the best husband and friend anyone could hope for (translated from Spanish).

The crowd erupted into applause and cheering after the two singers shared the kiss which came after Lopez presented Anthony with his award for Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year. The 48-year old has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide and is the top selling tropical artist of all time.

While some think the global superstars are considering rekindling their romance, Anthony has poked fun at this idea, taking to Twitter to post multiple photos of him kissing others. He hashtagged the shots #elbesoeffect which, translated from Spanish means ‘the kiss effect.’

The singers performed "Olvidame y Pega la Vuelta" following the announcement Anthony has signed on to be an executive producer for Lopez’s upcoming Spanish album.
