WNBL: Canberra Capitals lose to ladder leaders Bendigo Spirit 70-58

The Canberra Capitals have begun their Victorian road trip with a 70-58 loss to the WNBL ladder leaders Bendigo Spirit.

The Spirit's Canadian import Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe was prominent at centre scoring 22 points, but she was well supported by Kelsey Griffin who notched 14 points and collected 12 rebounds.

While Marianna Tolo once again led the Capitals for scoring with 19 points.

The Capitals will now head to south-east Melbourne to play an afternoon game against the Dandenong Rangers on Sunday.

Coach Paul Goriss' troops head to Dandenong with revenge on their minds after losing to the Rangers at home in round one.
