DRIVERS on two of Knox’s most congested roads may get some relief, with VicRoads planning to get traffic moving quicker.
The authority wants to improve traffic light sequences on about 30 routes across Melbourne, including Stud Rd and High Street Rd in Knox.

The aim is to give people more green lights and less red, and cut travel times and queues at key intersections.
The intersections of Stud and Wellington roads, Rowville, and Wellington and Lysterfield roads, Lysterfield, were voted the most congested spots in Knox, according to this year’s RACV Redspot Survey.
The community has been asked to give their feedback on what changes they want.
Cr Nicole Seymour said traffic congestion during peak hour and poor traffic light sequencing on Stud Rd were common complaints from residents.
Writing on her Facebook page, Cr Seymour said people living in several Rowville housing estates could only exit via Stud Rd and inefficient traffic light sequencing and increasing traffic volume on the road was adding 10 to 15 minutes when they tried to exit during peak times.
VicRoads acting director of journey services Hossein Parsa said all the traffic lights on Stud Rd would have their sequences and operations reviewed.
Mr Parsa said the review would be completed by May, and they would inform the community of any improvements by June.
