    The power of the atom Japan's Kansai Electric to lower industrial and household power rates by avg. of 5.36% from July due primarily to restarting Ohi No. 3 and 4 nuclear reactors. They lowered rates last year after restarting Takahama No. 3 and 4.

    Irrespective of the spin given by the authors, it is a bonanza for the city too if more living space opens up and the prices fall or stabilise so urban have-nots can afford! Anyway these colonies are in a rundown state. Transit Oriented Development ftw!

    These elderly people are generally the ones who have been abandoned by their families & have no option but to beg. I not only do their check up but also give them free medicines which I carry with me. I do this from 10am to 3pm from Monday to Saturday: Dr.Abhijeet Sonawane

    In Shanghai, the maglev train (as in MAGNETIC LEVITATION) reached 430km/hr in a couple min for a 7$US ride into the city. Rode for the 1st time and went nuts. Meanwhile in CA, I paid 9$US for the Caltrain... 73653x as slow, one-way + inevitable delays. 🤔

    That is correct. Solar & wind require 10-15x more materials per unit of energy than non-renewables & thus any large-scale transition to solar & wind would reverse the centuries-old process of "de-materialization" of energy. The mining & waste impacts would be enormous.

    Just watched MIT's McAfee TED talk on 'Dematerialization". Solar is in direct conflict w/ McAfee's concept of dematerialization as it requires far more materials/unit of energy than nuclear. When storage is added the materialization increase is off the charts compared to nuclear.
