Pearce Hanley already starring on training track for Gold Coast Suns

FORMER Lion Pearce Hanley has impressed his new teammates by making an early start to his career at the Suns.

Hanley has taken part in the main session for the past two weeks as he attempts to reignite his career on the Gold Coast.

He looked in great shape today as he shone in length-of-the-field ball work.

Recruit Jarrod Witts, from Collingwood, also arrived on the Gold Coast this week and joined his new teammates on the track today.

The Suns say Jarrod Lyons and Michael Barlow will arrive in town today and have told officials they intend to train tomorrow.

All-Australian Tom Lynch, defender Steven May and midfielder David Swallow have all been participating in full training over the past two weeks.

Only skipper Gary Ablett, who is on a delayed honeymoon, Aaron Hall and Brandon Matera (still in their home states) have yet to make an appearance.

Ablett will not be there when the full squad assembles on Monday as he has been given an extra week off by the club.
