Cherry Moss Dessert
Cherry moss dessert is an old fashion gelatin dessert that dates back to the 1800’s. This homemade cherry gelatin recipe is based on the Irish moss dessert that uses seaweed as a gelatin. This is a light and fluffy cherry dessert recipe, not too sweet but sweet enough to satisfy a craving. Sweetened whipped egg whites add a smooth, delightful fluffiness to the sweet dark cherries. When dressed up with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, fondant flowers, and chocolate covered cookie sticks, this easy cherry dessert makes an elegant dessert.
Cherry Moss Recipe:
1 15-ounce can sweet cherries
2 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
1 envelope gelatin
1 cup heavy cream
1 T. confectioners’ sugar
1 T. instant vanilla pudding (optional)

Hey family! In today's video we are making homemade chicken pot pie! Even the crust is homemade! It really wasn't that hard and it turned out amazing!!! We will definitely be making this recipe again!

Recipe:
Ingredients
2 (9) inch pie crusts
3 T butter
1/3 cup chopped onions
1 chopped celery stalk
1 tsp minced garlic
3 T all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups chicken stock or broth
1 T onion powder
1 T garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cup cooked, shredded chicken
12 oz pkg frozen peas and carrots
1 egg
1 tsp water
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Melt butter in a saucepan
Saute onions and celery in the butter until translucent; about 5 mins

Jacob is 13!!! I am now officially the mother of a teenager! When did that happen??? LOL!! In today's video I make a peanut butter pie for Jake because he didn't want a cake. We go for a walk and Titus and the boys are building a roping dummy! Hope y'all enjoy the video! :)
Peanut Butter Pie Recipe:
1 8oz block of cream cheese softened
1 8oz tub of whipped topping
1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 pie shell ( shortbread or graham cracker)
Mix the cream cheese, whipped topping, sugar, and peanut butter with a hand mixer. Pour into pie shell and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
That's it! This pie is so easy to make and it is delicious!! It's kind of like a peanut butter cheesecake!

1 (12.8-oz) box Rice Chex Cereal
1 (24-oz) package white chocolate baking chips
1 (6-oz) box peppermint candy canes, crushed

Shepherd's Pie Recipe:
We make our Shepherd's Pie really simple. I've tried several other ways of making it, but this is the kids' favorite way! I just cook up 1-2 pounds of ground beef and then layer the beef, mashed potatoes, and cheddar cheese on top. Then I just stick in the oven long enough for the cheese to melt.
Cheesecake recipe:
1 8 oz block of cream cheese
1/2 a cup of sugar
1 8 oz tub of Cool Whip
1 can cherry pie filling
1 graham cracker pie crust
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Mix in cool whip. Pour into graham cracker pie crust.
Top with Cherry Pie filling. Refrigerate for at leat two hours before serving.

Sweet Potato Pie Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potato (cooled)
¼ cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1½ cups sugar
1 small package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding
2 unbaked frozen pie crusts (9 inch)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 and place frozen pie crusts on baking sheet(s).
Use paddle attachment in stand mixer to whip cooled sweet potatoes until they are completely smooth. This may take a few minutes.
Add melted butter to sweet potatoes and continue mixing until smooth.

Cherry moss dessert is an old fashion gelatin dessert that dates back to the 1800’s. This homemade cherry gelatin recipe is based on the Irish moss dessert that uses seaweed as a gelatin. This is a light and fluffy cherry dessert recipe, not too sweet but sweet enough to satisfy a craving. Sweetened whipped egg whites add a smooth, delightful fluffiness to the sweet dark cherries. When dressed up with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, fondant flowers, and chocolate covered cookie sticks, this easy cherry dessert makes an elegant dessert.
Cherry Moss Recipe:
1 15-ounce can sweet cherries
2 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
1 envelope gelatin
1 cup heavy cream
1 T. confectioners’ sugar
1 T. instant vanilla pudding (optional)
Garnishes (optional): fondant, shaved chocolate, cookie sticks
Drain the cherries and reserve the juice. If you want cherry chunks in this dessert, then quarter about half the cherries. With a food processor, smash the remaining cherries. If you rather have a smoother texture dessert then place all the cherries in a food processor and process them. Both of these appear in the video. The dessert with the flower on top has the quartered cherries and the one without the flowers is the completely processed cherries.
Sprinkle an envelope of gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water. Let stand 5 minutes. Add in 1/4 cup boiling water. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add cherry juice. While making egg whites, place the gelatin mixture in the refrigerator until cool. The mixture should thicken slightly but not set.
Whisk egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar together in top of double boiler. Heat over pan of hot water until mixture reaches 160F. Remove from heat. Pour into mixing bowl. Beat on high until stiff peaks form. Fold and whisk into cherry mixture. Pour into serving dishes. Let set. It will set quickly.
Before serving and after the gelatin has set, place heavy cream, confectioners’ sugar and instant vanilla pudding in a mixing bowl. Beat on high until stiff peaks form. Pipe on the top of the dessert. The gelatin dessert is quite light and piping the whip cream on the top before it is set will cause the whip cream to sink into the dessert.
Garnish and decorate as desired.

Ingredients

1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cup cooked, shredded chicken
12 oz pkg frozen peas and carrots
1 egg
1 tsp water
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Melt butter in a saucepan
Saute onions and celery in the butter until translucent; about 5 mins
Add garlic and saute for 1 min.
Sprinkle in flour and stir for 2 mins to cook out flour taste
Pour in the chicken stock and add in Italian seasoning, onion, & garlic powders
Simmer for 5 mins
Stir in the heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook until mixture thickens
Turn off the heat
Add in the chicken, peas, and carrots
Roll out one pie crust to 1 cm thickness and add it to the bottom of a greased, 9 inch pie plate
Pour filling into the pie dish on top of the crust
Roll out the other crust and top the filling. Press to seal the edges
Whisk egg and water together and brush the top of the crust with it.
Cut several slits in the top of the pie to vent
Bake for 30-35 mins or until golden brown
Allow 10 mins to cool before serving
For the homemade crust:
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
2 sticks, unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
2 tsp granulated sugar
4 to 8 tablespoons of cold water
Instructions
Place flour, salt, and sugar into a food processor or bowl
If using a food processor, pulse 1-2 times to mix. Use a whisk if you're using a bowl
Cut cold butter into small cubes.
Add it all to the flour mix
Pulse (or use a pastry cutter in the bowl) until the mixture is crumbly
Now, add in the cold water 2 tablespoons at a time until the dough clumps when pinched together. NOTE: I ended up using 6 Tablespoons of water.
Then, pour the dough onto your clean work space and mold it into a ball
Cut the dough into two equal parts and form a round, thick disc with each part.
Wrap each crust in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
To freeze, place each wrapped crust into a freezer bag and seal.

Hey family! In today's video we are making homemade chicken pot pie! Even the crust is homemade! It really wasn't that hard and it turned out amazing!!! We will definitely be making this recipe again!

Recipe:
Ingredients
2 (9) inch pie crusts
3 T butter
1/3 cup chopped onions
1 chopped celery stalk
1 tsp minced garlic
3 T all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups chicken stock or broth
1 T onion powder
1 T garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cup cooked, shredded chicken
12 oz pkg frozen peas and carrots
1 egg
1 tsp water
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Melt butter in a saucepan
Saute onions and celery in the butter until translucent; about 5 mins
Add garlic and saute for 1 min.
Sprinkle in flour and stir for 2 mins to cook out flour taste
Pour in the chicken stock and add in Italian seasoning, onion, & garlic powders
Simmer for 5 mins
Stir in the heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook until mixture thickens
Turn off the heat
Add in the chicken, peas, and carrots
Roll out one pie crust to 1 cm thickness and add it to the bottom of a greased, 9 inch pie plate
Pour filling into the pie dish on top of the crust
Roll out the other crust and top the filling. Press to seal the edges
Whisk egg and water together and brush the top of the crust with it.
Cut several slits in the top of the pie to vent
Bake for 30-35 mins or until golden brown
Allow 10 mins to cool before serving
For the homemade crust:
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
2 sticks, unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
2 tsp granulated sugar
4 to 8 tablespoons of cold water
Instructions
Place flour, salt, and sugar into a food processor or bowl
If using a food processor, pulse 1-2 times to mix. Use a whisk if you're using a bowl
Cut cold butter into small cubes.
Add it all to the flour mix
Pulse (or use a pastry cutter in the bowl) until the mixture is crumbly
Now, add in the cold water 2 tablespoons at a time until the dough clumps when pinched together. NOTE: I ended up using 6 Tablespoons of water.
Then, pour the dough onto your clean work space and mold it into a ball
Cut the dough into two equal parts and form a round, thick disc with each part.
Wrap each crust in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
To freeze, place each wrapped crust into a freezer bag and seal.

Jacob is 13!!! I am now officially the mother of a teenager! When did that happen??? LOL!! In today's video I make a peanut butter pie for Jake because he didn't want a cake. We go for a walk and Titus and the boys are building a roping dummy! Hope y'all enjoy the video! :)
Peanut Butter Pie Recipe:

Hey y'all!! In today's Day In The Live Vlog, or "Days" in the life... LOL! We are making some sweet treats! I make the peppermint crunch, or candy cane crunch.. 😜 And Titus makes an Oreo Pie! I can't believe it's Vlogmas Day 20! Only 5 more days until Christmas! 🤩🎄

Candy Cane Crunch:
1 (12.8-oz) box Rice Chex Cereal
1 (24-oz) package white chocolate baking chips
1 (6-oz) box peppermint candy canes, crushed
First, crush the candy canes. Pour all of the cereal and crushed candy canes into a large bowl. Melt the white chocolate baking chips on the stove top, then pour over cereal and crushed candy canes. Mix together. Lay out some parchment paper and pour the mixture on to it, then spread it out. Let it rest for around 20-30 minutes until the chocolate has hardened. Once it is ready, break it into pieces.
Oreo Pie Recipe:
For the Crust:
1 Family size package of Oreos
1/2 a stick of unsalted butter melted.
Crush oreos and mix with melted butter. Pat into a pie plate. Bake in a 350° oven for 5-7 minutes.
For the filling:
1 8oz tub of cool whip
1 8oz block of cream cheese
1/4 cup of sugar
1 Tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6-8 Oreos broken into small pieces
Mix sugar, butter, vanilla, and cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth. Fold in cool whip and broken Oreos. Pour into prepared oreo crust and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours (or overnight) before serving. p.s. You can decorate the top with the sprinkles and stuff if you want... LOL!! ❤️😂

Shepherd's Pie Recipe:
We make our Shepherd's Pie really simple. I've tried several other ways of making it, but this is the kids' favorite way! I just cook up 1-2 pounds of ground beef and then layer the beef, mashed potatoes, and cheddar cheese on top. Then I just stick in the oven long enough for the cheese to melt.
Cheesecake recipe:

1 can cherry pie filling
1 graham cracker pie crust

Sweet Potato Pie Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potato (cooled)
¼ cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1½ cups sugar
1 small package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding
2 unbaked frozen pie crusts (9 inch)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 and place frozen pie crusts on baking sheet(s).
Use paddle attachment in stand mixer to whip cooled sweet potatoes until they are completely smooth. This may take a few minutes.
Add melted butter to sweet potatoes and continue mixing until smooth.
Mix in eggs and milk, scraping down sides of bowl to fully incorporate.
Add sugar and vanilla pudding powder and mix until fully combined.
Divide filling evenly between two unbaked, frozen pie crusts.
Bake at 350 for about 30-35 minutes or until the crust is just browned and the pie is only slightly jiggly. At the 20 minute mark, rotate your pan in the oven.
Let cool for a few hours before cutting or over night in the fridge.
Store in refrigerator, slice, and enjoy!
