Illmatic is the debut album by the American rapper Nas, released on April 19, 1994 by Columbia Records. After signing with the label with the help of MC Serch, Nas recorded the album in 1992–1993 at Chung King Studios, D&D; Recording, Battery Studios, and Unique Recording Studios in New York City. Its production was handled by Nas, Large Professor, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, L.E.S., and DJ Premier. Styled as a hardcore hip hop album, Illmatic features multi-syllabic internal rhymes and inner-city narratives based on Nas's experiences in Queensbridge, New York.
Since its initial reception, Illmatic has been recognized by writers and music critics as a landmark album in East Coast hip hop. Its influence on subsequent hip hop artists has been attributed to the album's production and Nas's lyricism. It also contributed to the revival of the New York City rap scene, introducing a number of stylistic trends to the region. The album remains one of the most widely celebrated albums in hip hop history, appearing on numerous best album lists by critics and publications.

Erreur à 33:27 : Pas d'accent sur le premier e de "sérré" = serré.
- D'après mes courriels le core i5 a été acheté en juillet 2015 et non pas "il y a 3-4 mois" comme je le dis, où en effet ce serait moins intéressant pour le coup. Je viens de faire un tour sur LBC et le prix indiqué pour ce processeur semble être plus ou moins la norme maintenant (dans les 100-120 euros).
- Ce n'est pas le dernier CPU à la mode pour faire un upgrade, il y a mieux je sais. Le but étant de passer à "mieux" à peu de frais en réutilisant la carte mère 1155 que j'ai déjà.
- Le fait que j'ai upgradé au Xeon mon PC principal récemment ne change rien, comme c'est déjà dit dans la vidéo, l'ancienne UC Optiplex 760 avec son X3363 prendra la place de l'Optiplex 745 (et son C2D E6700) dans l'atelier, donc rien n'est perdu, cela n'a pas été fait "pour rien".
- La NetCell est axée "Windows" à l'origine (voir la notice PDF en description), et rien n'est prévu sous Linux pour pouvoir la monitorer, d'où le fait que je découvre les problèmes qu'au boot via le BIOS de la carte, ce qui n'est pas top évidemment, c'est pour cela que je là dégage. La carte ne retourne pas non plus les états SMART des disques avec smartctl.
- Concernant les disques durs choisis oui ce sont des desktop classiques et non des disques prévus pour un "usage NAS". Évidemment il y a des différences de consommation électrique, de vitesse de rotation, de politique de parquage des têtes, de gestion des secteurs défectueux et de performances entre les différentes "gammes" que l'on trouve de nos jours. J'ai connu une époque où il n'y avait pas besoin d'avoir un "modèle spécial" de disque dur pour qu'il soit garanti pour un fonctionnement H24 7J/7 pendant des années par son fabricant. Les choses ont-elles évoluées en mal depuis ? Toutefois les modèles spéciaux "NAS/RAID" seraient à privilégier lorsqu'ils ont des problèmes avec des secteurs défectueux et se comportent mieux avec la carte RAID. Comme je ne fait plus de RAID je m'en fiche carrément. ;-)
- Il existe des OS spéciaux pour faire du NAS (FreeNAS/OpenMediaVault). Mais comme il ne me sert pas qu'à cela, j'ai mis une distrib. plus "généraliste".
- Oui on peut toujours faire mieux. Je progresse, lentement mais sûrement. ;-)

Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones (/nɑːˈsɪər/; born September 14, 1973), better known as Nas /ˈnɑːz/, is an American rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer and actor. The son of jazz musician Olu Dara, Nas has released eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums and sold over 25 million records worldwide since 1994. He is also an entrepreneur through his own record label; he serves as associate publisher of Mass Appeal magazine and is the owner of a Fila sneaker store. He is currently signed to Mass Appeal Records.
His musical career began in 1991 when he was featured on Main Source's track "Live at the Barbeque". His debut album Illmatic, released in 1994, received universal acclaim from both critics and the hip hop community; it is frequently ranked as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
Nas' follow-up album, It Was Written, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, stayed on top for four consecutive weeks, went Platinum twice in only two months, and made Nas internationally known. From 2001 to 2005, Nas was involved in a highly publicized feud with rapper Jay Z. In 2006, Nas signed to Def Jam. In 2010, he released a collaboration album with reggae artist Damian Marley, donating all royalties to charities active in Africa. His eleventh studio album, Life Is Good, was released in 2012, and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

Erreur à 33:27 : Pas d'accent sur le premier e de "sérré" = serré.
- D'après mes courriels le core i5 a été acheté en juillet 2015 et non pas "il y a 3-4 mois" comme je le dis, où en effet ce serait moins intéressant pour le coup. Je viens de faire un tour sur LBC et le prix indiqué pour ce processeur semble être plus ou moins la norme maintenant (dans les 100-120 euros).
- Ce n'est pas le dernier CPU à la mode pour faire un upgrade, il y a mieux je sais. Le but étant de passer à "mieux" à peu de frais en réutilisant la carte mère 1155 que j'ai déjà.
- Le fait que j'ai upgradé au Xeon mon PC principal récemment ne change rien, comme c'est déjà dit dans la vidéo, l'ancienne UC Optiplex 760 avec son X3363 prendra la place de l'Optiplex 745 (et son C2D E6700) dans l'atelier, donc rien n'est perdu, cela n'a pas été fait "pour rien".
- La NetCell est axée "Windows" à l'origine (voir la notice PDF en description), et rien n'est prévu sous Linux pour pouvoir la monitorer, d'où le fait que je découvre les problèmes qu'au boot via le BIOS de la carte, ce qui n'est pas top évidemment, c'est pour cela que je là dégage. La carte ne retourne pas non plus les états SMART des disques avec smartctl.
- Concernant les disques durs choisis oui ce sont des desktop classiques et non des disques prévus pour un "usage NAS". Évidemment il y a des différences de consommation électrique, de vitesse de rotation, de politique de parquage des têtes, de gestion des secteurs défectueux et de performances entre les différentes "gammes" que l'on trouve de nos jours. J'ai connu une époque où il n'y avait pas besoin d'avoir un "modèle spécial" de disque dur pour qu'il soit garanti pour un fonctionnement H24 7J/7 pendant des années par son fabricant. Les choses ont-elles évoluées en mal depuis ? Toutefois les modèles spéciaux "NAS/RAID" seraient à privilégier lorsqu'ils ont des problèmes avec des secteurs défectueux et se comportent mieux avec la carte RAID. Comme je ne fait plus de RAID je m'en fiche carrément. ;-)
- Il existe des OS spéciaux pour faire du NAS (FreeNAS/OpenMediaVault). Mais comme il ne me sert pas qu'à cela, j'ai mis une distrib. plus "généraliste".
- Oui on peut toujours faire mieux. Je progresse, lentement mais sûrement. ;-)
