Because this is why you should never taunt a caged animal. Long Story Short A YouTube video captures the moment when a couple of young girls taunt a baboon in the zoo. Then, the angry AF monkey flips out and chucks poo from the cage at the girls — scoring a bulls-eye hit right in the face of one. Long Story What if you were stuck in a cage with annoying kids pointing, laughing and straight up taunting you all day every day. How would you react? Probably like this baboon, which makes sense because they share 91% of their DNA with humans. In the video posted this summer from North Carolina, a couple of girls are filmed approaching a baboon cage. They proceed to wave their arms and taunt as the monkey stares at them. It doesn't take long for the baboon to lose it and jump around — something you might've experienced at the zoo if you've ever seen a caged baboon. (Side story: I went on a field trip to the zoo when I was a kid and I distinctly remember a baboon rattling the cage with a massive hard on at one of the girls in my class. Anyways, moving on). Then, the baboon turns around, grabs a fistful of either his own sh*t or some feces from his primate buddies, then chucks it through the fence at the girls. The baboon must have been practising for the big moment or gotten super lucky as he hits one of the girls square in the chin. The girls walk away and unsurprisingly say: "I hate this place." The video ends with "Where's a napkin. We need a napkin." Somehow, this isn't the first monkey-acts-like-human related incident I've written about this year. A monkey got drunk and then chased some people around a bar with a knife in Brazil. This hilarious footage captured the moment an angry monkey took his temper out on a family by throwing his poo at them. The girl starts waving her arms at the monkey, which makes him really mad. A family outing at Tiger World in Rockwell, North Carolina, turned from a fun summer day to absolutely disgusting when an angry baboon threw its feces on a family, right through the bars of the cage (nice shot monkey!) Almost as good as the event itself, is the Dad's reaction ("holy sh*t") as well as the little girl's reaction (she was, I believe, in complete shock as seen in her silence). As a parent this video is outrageous because as shocking as it is to have a baboon chuck his own feces at you, it's also an "I can easily see that happening to my kid" moment. Tell me this girl will ever go to the zoo again. And perhaps a reminder that wild animals don't like us because we put them in cages and we make gestures at them.
