Stephen, Steven or Steve Davies may refer to:
The Rubin Report is a current events talk show airing on Ora TV and YouTube, hosted by comedian and political satirist Dave Rubin. The show's producer David Janet describes it as "taking a politically incorrect approach at discussing big ideas and current events focusing on politics, religion, and the media. The shows features individuals as well as a panel of guests often consisting of authors, journalists, comedians, and professors."
Dave Rubin left The Six Pack radio show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio in New York City in 2013 to launch a politically charged talk show called The Rubin Report in Los Angeles, California.
In 2015, the show briefly moved to RYOT News which "provided Dave Rubin with a great opportunity".
In August 2015, Larry King's Ora TV picked up the show which debuted on September 9, 2015.The Rubin Report became the network's third political commentary show alongside PoliticKING with Larry King and Jesse Ventura's Off The Grid.
From 2013-2015, The Rubin Report featured a panel of two guests and covered weekly news stories ranging from politics to entertainment. After launching on Ora TV in 2015, the show took a more focussed approach on the big ideas relating to politics, religion, as well as a focus on one on one interviews and monologues from Dave Rubin. The Rubin Report consists of three segments, Direct Message, The Sit Down, and The Panel.
Dave Rubin (born David Joshua Rubin; June 26, 1976) is an American comedian, talk show host, and television personality. He is the creator and host of political talk show The Rubin Report, part of Ora TV and formerly of The Young Turks Network. He previously hosted the The Six Pack podcast and radio show on Sirius XM Radio.
Rubin is known for his political satire and political commentary. He targets many topics including political correctness, free speech, politics, mass media, religion, foreign affairs, and the ideological split between liberals and the progressive movement. He has been influential in popularizing the phrase "Regressive left."
Dave Rubin was born in Brooklyn, New York, spent his adolescence in Syosset, New York, and resided for 13 years on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. He is of Jewish descent and the oldest of three siblings. In 1994, Rubin graduated from Syosset High School. In 1998, he earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Binghamton University, in Vestal, New York.
Steve Davis, OBE (born 22 August 1957) is an English former professional snooker player from Plumstead, London. Known for dominating the sport during the 1980s, when he won the World Championship six times and was ranked world number one for seven consecutive seasons, he is remembered particularly for contesting the 1985 World Championship final with Dennis Taylor, the black-ball conclusion of which attracted a record 18.5 million British viewers. He is a well known public figure and is generally viewed by his peers as one of the greatest players of all time. Today, Davis combines his ongoing playing career with his role as a television analyst and commentator for the BBC's snooker coverage.
In addition to his six world titles, Davis's career achievements include three Masters and a record six UK Championship titles. He has won a total of 28 ranking events, tied with John Higgins, and behind only Stephen Hendry, and has won over £5.5 million in prize money. Davis has compiled more than 350 competitive century breaks, including the first officially recognised (and first televised) maximum break in professional competition, in 1982. During the 1987/1988 season, he became the first player to complete snooker's Triple Crown by winning the UK Championship, Masters, and World Championship in the same season. His other accomplishments include winning the World Doubles Championship four times with Tony Meo and winning the World Team Classic/World Cup four times with England.
Stephen or Steven /ˈstiːvən/ is a masculine first name, derived from the Greek name Στέφανος (Stéfanos), in turn from the Greek word "στέφανος", meaning "wreath, crown, honour, reward", literally "that which surrounds or encompasses". In ancient Greece, a wreath was given to the winner of a contest (from which the crown, symbol of rulers derived). The use of the noun was first recorded in Homer's Iliad. The name is significant to Christians: according to the Book of Acts in the New Testament, Saint Stephen was a deacon who was stoned to death and is regarded as the first Christian martyr. The name has many variants, which include Stephan, Stevan, Stefan and Stevon.
In Middle English, the name Stephen or Stephan was pronounced as a bi-syllabic word — Step-hen or Step-han — much like a Scandinavian surname. Steve was pronounced as it is in Modern English. This etymological usage began a decline in the mid-19th century.
Steve is the common short form, while various diminutives such as Stevie and Ste are also used. Many family names are derived from Stephen: the most common are Stephens/Stevens and Stephenson/Stevenson (others include Stephen, Stephan, Staphan, Stefan, Stevin and Stever).

An interview of Dr. Steve Davies on African history
A crucial part of the self-consciousness of individuals and the way they define themselves socially is a perception of their location in a historical narrative, however vague. For most people in North America and Europe the narrative in question is that of 'Western Civilization' - this is true for all parts of the political spectrum and includes those who see this narrative as one of triumphant success and others who perceive it as a much darker story. However, the picture that emerges from historical research does not support any of these accounts. Rather they lead us to the conclusion that historic Western Civilization no longer exists but has perished or been transformed. This should make us think about how to understand our historical location and lead us to see past, present, and futu...

This is a repost of a presentation to the Edinburgh Liberty Forum in 2013. Dr Stephen Davies is one of the foremost thinkers on economics and education in Britain today. In this presentation he explores the history and future of industrial public schooling (also known as “Prussian schooling” for its origin in 19th century Prussia as a tool for indoctrination) and suggest better quality, cheaper, market alternatives that will fit future generations with the creative and cognitive skills to meet the demands of the 21st century.
