Broken heart

A broken heart (also known as a heartbreak or heartache) is a common metaphor for the intense emotional—and sometimes physical—stress or pain one feels at experiencing great longing. The concept is cross-cultural; most often, though not exclusively, cited with reference to a desired or lost lover; and dates back at least 3,000 years.

Emotional pain that is severe can cause 'broken heart syndrome', including physical damage to the heart.

Physiology

The emotional "pain" of a broken heart is believed to be part of the survival instinct. The "social-attachment system" uses the "pain system" to encourage humans to maintain their close social relationships by causing pain when those relationships are lost. Psychologists Geoff MacDonald of the University of Queensland and Mark Leary of Wake Forest University proposed in 2005 the evolution of common mechanisms for both physical and emotional pain responses and argue that such expressions are "more than just a metaphor". The concept is believed to be universal, with many cultures using the same words to describe both physical pain and the feelings associated with relationship loss.

Dave Audé

Dave Audé is a producer, house DJ, and remixer. He operates both his own Audacious Records, and is known for co-founding Moonshine Music in the 1990s. He has done production for artists such as U2, will.i.am, t.A.T.u., Katy Perry, Barenaked Ladies, Faith No More, Rihanna, Yoko Ono, Madonna, CeCe Peniston, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Selena Gomez and Beyoncé. Audé has scored 11 hit singles thus far on the Billboard charts, along with 12 number one singles on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. In 2010 he was nominated for a Grammy for his remix of Dean Coleman "I Want You". Dave Audé's songs are represented by Downtown Music Publishing.

Biography

Audé is the older brother of former Major League Baseball player Rich Audé. Audé began his career teaching at the Los Angeles Recording Workshop as a MIDI instructor at the age of 22. In the 90's, he began making house music at Truth, a Los Angeles dance club, and formed Lunatic Fringe with the club's owner, Steve Levy. They founded Moonshine Music, a record label, together, and built a studio in West Hollywood.

Alias (season 1)

The first season of Alias premiered September 30, 2001 on ABC and concluded May 12, 2002 and was released on DVD in region 1 on September 2, 2003. Guest stars in season one include Sir Roger Moore, Terry O'Quinn, Quentin Tarantino, and Gina Torres.

Apart from Truth Be Told, the episodes of Alias are often unconventionally structured in that the title credits are usually shown well into the plot, almost as an afterthought. Also, usually a plot finishes at mid-episode and a new plot begins, so that every episode finishes with a cliffhanger. The impression thus created is that an episode will conclude the previous one and plant the seeds of the next one.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Dee Lohan (born July 2, 1986) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, model, director and producer.

Lohan began her career as a child fashion model when she was three, and was later featured on the soap opera Another World for a year when she was 10. At age 11, Lohan made her motion picture debut in Disney's remake of The Parent Trap (1998), a critical and commercial success.
