Hugh Brunt (born 1986) is a British conductor who holds the positions of co-Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the London Contemporary Orchestra.
Brunt first came to attention of composer Paul Patterson while still a schoolboy. Brunt attended New College, Oxford where he was a choral scholar. Brunt was one of the founders of the London Contemporary Orchestra in 2008, along with violist Robert Ames. Brunt and Ames had been friends from university. He conducted Shiva Feshareki's "TTKonzert" which was nominated for a British Composer Award in 2010. Brunt conducted Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2012 film The Master. He has also collaborated with artists including Imogen Heap,Ron Arad,Belle & Sebastian and Foals.
In a positive review of a 2010 LCO concert, Geoff Brown of The Times wrote that "Brunt's conducting of every bar, from the opening buzzing bass line to the sudden consonant end assertive, was graceful, just like the music. Wonderful."
The London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO) is an ensemble of young musicians formed in 2008 whose stated aim is "to explore and promote new music to an increasingly wide audience". LCO staged its inaugural season at LSO St Luke's and has since performed at venues and festivals including the Roundhouse, Latitude Festival, The Old Vic Tunnels, Snape Maltings, Southbank Centre, Spitalfields Music and Royal Opera House. In 2010 the LCO was shortlisted for the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards (Audience Development category).
Royal Northern Sinfonia is a British chamber orchestra, based initially in Newcastle upon Tyne and currently in Gateshead. For the first 46 years of its history, the orchestra gave the bulk of its concerts at the City Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne. Since 2004, the orchestra has been resident at Sage Gateshead. In June 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II bestowed the title 'Royal' on the orchestra, formally naming it the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
Michael Hall founded the ensemble in 1958 as the first permanent chamber orchestra in Britain. The ensemble gave its first concert on 24 September 1958 as the 'Sinfonia Orchestra', at the City Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne, and gave six concerts in its first season, 1958-1959. Hall acted as the organization's single leader, in effect as "general manager, secretary, artistic director, conductor and fund-raiser", though without a formal title. The word 'Northern' was added to the orchestra's name in 1959 to give the name of 'Northern Sinfonia'. The orchestra became an established institution in 1959, with Humphrey Noble chosen as the first chairman of the ensemble's management committee. Hall resigned from the orchestra in 1964 but returned as a guest conductor in subsequent years. After Hall's departure, Rudolf Schwarz and Boris Brott took over musical leadership of the ensemble in parallel, with Schwarz being the first titled artistic director of the ensemble. Keith Statham served as the orchestra's general manager from 1966 to 1974.
Chris Hopewell is an English music video director. His video for Radiohead's "There There" received an award for art direction at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
His most recent work is co-directing with Crispin Mills on the film A Fantastic Fear of Everything starring Simon Pegg.
Nigel Timothy Godrich (born 28 February, 1971) is an English record producer, recording engineer and musician. He is best known for his work with the English rock band Radiohead, with whom he has produced seven studio albums. Often referred to as the "sixth member" of the band, Godrich has also worked extensively with the band's frontman Thom Yorke on his solo material, and is a member of the experimental rock acts Atoms for Peace and Ultraísta.
Other acts Godrich has worked with include Paul McCartney, Travis, Beck, Ride, Pavement, Air, Natalie Imbruglia, The Divine Comedy, U2 and R.E.M.
Nigel Godrich was born in Westminster, London, the son of a BBC sound supervisor. He was educated at William Ellis School in North London. where he shared classes with his friend and future Zero 7 member Henry Binns. Originally a musician (a guitarist inspired by Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa), he became interested in sound engineering and studied at the School of Audio Engineering. After graduating, Godrich became a junior staff member at the Audio One studio complex, working primarily as "a tea boy."

Sir Keith Rodney Park was one of the unsung heroes of the Battle of Britain. Commanding 11 Group Fighter Command, the New Zealander Air Chief Marshal was responsible for the defence of London and South-East England. His squadrons bore the brunt of the fighting. In this 1961 interview, he discusses the political manoeuverings that resulted in Hugh Dowding and Park himself being removed from their Fighter Command posts at the end of the battle.

The election of Trump and the victory of the Brexit movement are the most obvious examples of the populism driving countries to become more insular. This combined with China's return to a power of the first order means that Australia faces an increasingly uncertain world. Hear from former Prime Minister Paul Keating about the path Australia should forge in this rapidly changing world. He has long argued a greater independence in Australian foreign policy could be beneficial and allow more focus on our immediate neighbours: Asian countries to our north. Speakers: The Hon. Paul Keating Few Australians have thought more deeply, originally and provocatively on Australia's foreign policy challenges than Paul Keating. This is a unique opportunity to hear his thinking on a 'new' world with Donald...

It's never been easy for me
To find words to go along with a melody
But this time there's actually something on my mind
So please forgive these few brief awkward lines
Since I met you my whole life has changed
It's not just my furniture you've re-arranged
I was living in the past
But somehow you've brought me back
And I haven't felt like this since before Frankie said relax
And now I know based on my track record
I might not seem like the safest bet
All I'm asking you is
Don't write me off just yet
For years I've been telling myself the same old story
That I'm happy to live off my so called former glories
But you've given me a reason
To take another chance
Now I need you despite the fact
That you've killed all my plants
And now I know
I've already blown more chances
Than anyone should ever get
All I'm asking you is
Don't write me off just yet
