Pillsbury Crescent Rolls Big & Buttery
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (8 Crescent rolls). It was my first time to try them.
easy to bake and very yummy!

This is a great recipe for light, fluffy and buttery rolls. Perfect to have them served right out from the oven.
Ingredients:
Makes 32 rolls
3 1/2 cups flour
25 g fresh yeast (2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or 2 tsp of instant yeast)
1/3 cup water, warm
3/4 cup milk, warm
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp butter, softened
Filling
4 or 5 tbsp butter, softened
Topping
1 1/2 tbsp butter, melted
Directions
1. In a large bowl, mix flour with sugar and salt. Dissolve the fresh yeast in the warm water and add to the flour mixture. Add eggs and milk, mix everything together. Add the butter and knead until the dough is smooth and soft. Cover with a clean dish towel and let it rise for about 1 hour in a warm area, until doubled in size.
2. Punch dough down and divide into 2 equal parts. Form them into balls. On a floured surface roll each part into a 16 to 17 inch round, using a rolling pin. With the back of a spoon, spread about 2 tbsp of very soft butter onto the dough round. Using a pastry wheel cutter cut the round into 16 triangles (like slicing a pizza).
3. Start rolling each triangle into crescents, starting from the outside edge of the triangle. Once rolled, curve the edges and place on a greased baking tray with the tip tucked down and under the roll. Repeat rolling with the rest of the triangles. Let them rise for about 20 minutes. Melt additional 1 1/2 tbsp butter and brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
4. Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Bake for 14-18 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Let them cool on a wire rack few minutes before serving.

Betty demonstrates how to make Cheesy Crescent Roll Spirals. These rolls are made from crescent roll dough and are an easy way to convert the dough into a tasty bread for your dinner table!
Cheesy Crescent Roll Spirals
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
melted butter, as desired
1 cup finely-shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
small amount of coarse sea salt
cooking oil spray
Remove the refrigerated crescent roll dough from its container. Seal perforations and shape roll dough into a rectangle. Brush with small amount of butter. Sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese and chopped fresh parsley. Roll up, using the longer dimension for rolling. Seal end by using a little water to stick the end dough to the roll dough. Chill 1 hour. Slice into 8 equal rounds. Place on baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Sprinkle a tiny amount of coarse salt on top. Bake according to crescent roll package instructions (at approximately 400 degrees (F) for about 10 minutes), or until rolls are beginning to brown and cheese is melted. Remove from oven and transfer to a serving plate. Serve immediately. This makes a flavorful and attractive bread for your holiday table. I hope you love it! Love, --Betty ♥♥♥

Crescent
In art and symbolism, a crescent (US: /ˈkrɛsənt/,UK: /ˈkrɛzənt/) is generally the shape produced when a circular disk has a segment of another circle removed from its edge, so that what remains is a shape enclosed by two circular arcs of different diameters which intersect at two points (usually in such a manner that the enclosed shape does not include the center of the original circle).
In astronomy, a crescent is the shape of the lit side of a spherical body (most notably the Moon) that appears to be less than half illuminated by the Sun as seen by the viewer. Mathematically, assuming the terminator lies on a great circle, such a crescent will actually be the figure bounded by a half-ellipse and a half-circle, with the major axis of the ellipse coinciding with a diameter of the semicircle. The direction in which the "horns" (the points at the intersection of the two arcs) face indicates whether a crescent is waxing (also young, or increasing) or waning (also old, or decreasing). Eastward pointing horns (pointing to the left, as seen from the Northern hemisphere) indicate a waxing crescent, whereas westward pointing horns (pointing to the right, as seen from the Northern hemisphere) indicate a waning crescent. Note that the directions the horns point relative to the observer are reversed in the Southern hemisphere.

Homemade Crescent Rolls
This is a great recipe for light, fluffy and buttery rolls. Perfect to have them served right out from the oven. Ingredients: Makes 32 rolls 3 1/2 cups flour 25 g fresh yeast (2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or 2 tsp of instant yeast) 1/3 cup water, warm 3/4 cup milk, warm 1 1/2 tbsp sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp salt 4 tbsp butter, softened Filling 4 or 5 tbsp butter, softened Topping 1 1/2 tbsp butter, melted Directions 1. In a large bowl, mix flour with sugar and salt. Dissolve the fresh yeast in the warm water and add to the flour mixture. Add eggs and milk, mix everything together. This is a great recipe for light, fluffy and buttery rolls. Perfect to have them served right out from the oven.

Makes 32 rolls
3 1/2 cups flour
25 g fresh yeast (2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or 2 tsp of instant yeast)
1/3 cup water, warm
3/4 cup milk, warm
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp butter, softened
Filling
4 or 5 tbsp butter, softened
Topping
1 1/2 tbsp butter, melted
Directions
1. In a large bowl, mix flour with sugar and salt. Dissolve the fresh yeast in the warm water and add to the flour mixture. Add eggs and milk, mix everything together. Add the butter and knead until the dough is smooth and soft. Cover with a clean dish towel and let it rise for about 1 hour in a warm area, until doubled in size.
2. Punch dough down and divide into 2 equal parts. Form them into balls. On a floured surface roll each part into a 16 to 17 inch round, using a rolling pin. With the back of a spoon, spread about 2 tbsp of very soft butter onto the dough round. Using a pastry wheel cutter cut the round into 16 triangles (like slicing a pizza).
3. Start rolling each triangle into crescents, starting from the outside edge of the triangle. Once rolled, curve the edges and place on a greased baking tray with the tip tucked down and under the roll. Repeat rolling with the rest of the triangles. Let them rise for about 20 minutes. Melt additional 1 1/2 tbsp butter and brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
4. Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Bake for 14-18 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Let them cool on a wire rack few minutes before serving.
