Here is my experience of Tattoo Removal/Fading with TCA Trichloroacetic Acid at 80% strength.
This is my first time using TCA. I have tried Salabration, I have tried other chemical burns (bleach burn... yes I know stupid. But it did actually give some results). I have had no luck with Salabration. With bleach burn, I created a deep enough scab where I pulled off a thick enough layer of skin in some areas to pull out the tattoo.... but not in a controlled manner.
TCA 80% purchased off of amazon from a user named "Erlenmeyer's Laboratory". This is a 2 oz. bottle and cost me $113.99 with shipping included. I received it the first expected date with standard shipping.
2 oz is a bit much, I could have easily got less. I was just uncertain at the time.

TCA chemical peels- Tutorial by Dr Davin Lim
TCA chemical peels are an excellent method to treat skin conditions such as excessive skin pigmentation, melasma, chloasma, acne scarring, fine wrinkles, sun damage and generalised skin rejuvenation. TCA peels can be used at a concentration from 5% all the way up to 100% TCA. This video shows the minimum concentration of TCA Chemical peel that I, as a professional deem is safe. Take your risks with higher concentrations, but my job is to guide you as to the SAFE way of conducting TCA peels as a dermatologist. Too many ‘experts’ teaching wrong methods… and end up seeing my colleagues and myself as a result.
Superficial TCA peels can be considered to range from 5% TCA all the way to 20% TCA; however, medium-depth TCA peels are generally classed as 30% TCA with or without Jessner's Solution. Deep TCA peels which reach the bottom layers of the dermis can be classed as 70% to 100% TCA.
For home use, TCA peels should only be at a very superficial depth. I do believe that a concentration of between 8% to 10%, single or, at the most, double coat is safe. It is extremely important not to drip with a TCA chemical peel as this can cause scarring. This is one of my favourite peels for the treatment of melasma or hormonal pigmentation. It can also be used for early acne scarring as well as improving skin texture.
TCA chemical peels do not need to be neutralised. They are self-neutralising. The use of Vaseline to areas such as the corners of the nose and mouth area can help protect delicate areas. This peel can also be used cautiously on the eyelids. Always have eye irrigation ready -just in case one experiences spillage into the eye area.
Aftercare following a TCA chemical peel low-strength is simple. You do not need to neutralise this peel. A simple moisturiser can be used several times per day. Depending on the number of coats and the strength of the chemical peel you can expect some superficial but mild peeling one to three days following a low-strength TCA peel. Applying a moisturizer frequently \ can alleviate the peeling process and accelerate healing.
Remember, to stay safe do not use a brush. Use a guaze. Do not drip any TCA on your skin and always count the passes. Chemical peels are still a great solution to treat acne scars, blackheads, whitehead, pigmentation, sun damage, and melasma. Cheaper than lasers, and in some cases better and safer.

Here is my experience of Tattoo Removal/Fading with TCA Trichloroacetic Acid at 80% strength. This is my first time using TCA. I have tried Salabration, I have tried other chemical burns (bleach burn... yes I know stupid. But it did actually give some results). I have had no luck with Salabration. With bleach burn, I created a deep enough scab where I pulled off a thick enough layer of skin in some areas to pull out the tattoo.... but not in a controlled manner. Here is my experience of Tattoo Removal/Fading with TCA Trichloroacetic Acid at 80% strength.
This is my first time using TCA. I have tried Salabration, I have tried other chemical burns (bleach burn... yes I know stupid. But it did actually give some results). I have had no luck with Salabration. With bleach burn, I created a deep enough scab where I pulled off a thick enough layer of skin in some areas to pull out the tattoo.... but not in a controlled manner.
TCA 80% purchased off of amazon from a user named "Erlenmeyer's Laboratory". This is a 2 oz. bottle and cost me $113.99 with shipping included. I received it the first expected date with standard shipping.
2 oz is a bit much, I could have easily got less. I was just uncertain at the time.

TCA chemical peels are an excellent method to treat skin conditions such as excessive skin pigmentation, melasma, chloasma, acne scarring, fine wrinkles, sun damage and generalised skin rejuvenation. TCA peels can be used at a concentration from 5% all the way up to 100% TCA. This video shows the minimum concentration of TCA Chemical peel that I, as a professional deem is safe. Take your risks with higher concentrations, but my job is to guide you as to the SAFE way of conducting TCA peels as a dermatologist. Too many ‘experts’ teaching wrong methods… and end up seeing my colleagues and myself as a result.
Superficial TCA peels can be considered to range from 5% TCA all the way to 20% TCA; however, medium-depth TCA peels are generally classed as 30% TCA with or without Jessner's Solution. Deep TCA peels which reach the bottom layers of the dermis can be classed as 70% to 100% TCA.
For home use, TCA peels should only be at a very superficial depth. I do believe that a concentration of between 8% to 10%, single or, at the most, double coat is safe. It is extremely important not to drip with a TCA chemical peel as this can cause scarring. This is one of my favourite peels for the treatment of melasma or hormonal pigmentation. It can also be used for early acne scarring as well as improving skin texture.
TCA chemical peels do not need to be neutralised. They are self-neutralising. The use of Vaseline to areas such as the corners of the nose and mouth area can help protect delicate areas. This peel can also be used cautiously on the eyelids. Always have eye irrigation ready -just in case one experiences spillage into the eye area.
Aftercare following a TCA chemical peel low-strength is simple. You do not need to neutralise this peel. A simple moisturiser can be used several times per day. Depending on the number of coats and the strength of the chemical peel you can expect some superficial but mild peeling one to three days following a low-strength TCA peel. Applying a moisturizer frequently \ can alleviate the peeling process and accelerate healing.
Remember, to stay safe do not use a brush. Use a guaze. Do not drip any TCA on your skin and always count the passes. Chemical peels are still a great solution to treat acne scars, blackheads, whitehead, pigmentation, sun damage, and melasma. Cheaper than lasers, and in some cases better and safer.
