Frequently asked questions

What payment method can I use?
You can pay either by debit card, credit card or with PayPal. All subscriptions are charged monthly, quarterly or annually and will renew automatically unless you cancel.

When subscribing to FT.com via PayPal you will be taken to their website and asked to sign-in to your PayPal account. If you don’t already have a PayPal account you can sign up for one there and then.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Unless you cancel your subscription before we have started providing any part of it to you (in which case we will provide you with a full refund), then you agree that once we have started providing any part of your subscription to you, you do not have any right to cancel your subscription or any part of it until the end of your then current subscription period. This means that you are not entitled to a refund once we have started providing any part of your subscription to you, except in the very limited circumstances which are referred to in these terms and conditions. Although you may notify us of your intention to cancel at any time, such notice will only take effect at the end of your then current subscription period.

Can I purchase more than one subscription?
You can purchase up to 9 subscriptions. For 10+ subscriptions you will need to contact FT Corporate.

What should I do to renew my subscription?
Where possible, subscriptions will renew automatically based upon the subscription period you have selected. You will be notified of the renewal if there is a change in price or product. Renew your subscription on-line at Manage My Account or contact our customer services team on + 44 (0)207 775 6248.

What if I don’t want to subscribe?
Before you choose to subscribe to FT.com you can read 3 articles each month for free. To access your 3 articles, we ask you to register some basic information about yourself, such as the industry you work in and the type of role you hold. We then use this information to deliver you relevant FT content and advertising.

Can I access my digital subscription on more than one computer, smartphone or tablet?
Yes. With an FT digital subscription you can acess FT content from up to 5 different devices at any time.

How do I download the apps that are included with my digital subscription?
The FT Web App for iPad and iPhone, the FT Android App and the FT Windows 8 App are all free to download and available with all FT.com digital subscriptions.

For the FT iPad or iPhone web apps simply open the browser on your iPad/iPhone and navigate to http://app.ft.com. To be able to use the application when you don’t have a signal, we encourage you to save it to your device’s home screen. For more information about the FT Web Apps click here.

The FT Android App can be downloaded instantly from Google Play either on your device or from your desktop. For more information about the Android App click here.

The FT Windows 8 is free to download for the Windows Store.

Can I subscribe to the web app only?
You are currently unable to subscribe to Web App only access for all FT.com articles. Web App access is instead included as part of all digital subscriptions. However, you can subscribe to the FT Weekend App Edition which features content from Life and Arts, House and Home, FT Money and much more.

All FT digital subscribers can upgrade to a Newspaper + Online subscription using the ‘Your Account’ section of FT.com. Customers who take up this subscription package will receive a discounted price against the cost of purchasing separate digital and newspaper subscriptions.

How does newspaper delivery work?
If your address is within a newspaper delivery area you will receive your copy of the newspaper by either hand-delivery or the fastest postal route. Newspaper delivery is available in most major business centres and cities across Europe. To find out whether we deliver to your area or not, please enter your postcode into the newspaper subscription sign-up form or contact our customer services team on help@ft.com or + 44 (0)207 775 6248.

How can I find out if I'm in a delivery area?
The FT delivers newspapers to areas across the UK, Europe, North America and parts of Asia. To find out if you are eligible for newspaper delivery, please enter you postcode on the sign-up form provided or contact our customer services team on help@ft.com or + 44 (0)207 775 6248.

What happens if my paper has not arrived by the guaranteed time of 7am?

Can I have a separate weekend delivery address?
As part of your print subscription you will receive a newspaper 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday. All 6 of these editions will be sent to the delivery address registered for that subscription. In order to receive FT Weekend at a separate address (different to your newspaper delivery address), you can take out two separate subscriptions. To do so, please contact our customer services team on help@ft.com or + 44 (0)207 775 6248.

Can I pick up my newspapers at accredited newsagents?
FT newspapers are available to buy with cash in hundreds of retails accross the UK. If you subscribe to the FT newspaper and receive vouchers, you will use your vouchers as full payment for FT newspapers instead of cash.

Can I use my vouchers abroad?
No. FT Vouchers are only valid within the UK in accredited newsagents.

Can I also receive the paper in another country while I am on holidays?
No. Unfortunately we are unable to make short term changes to newspaper delivery.

Can I put my subscription on hold when I go on holiday?
You may temporarily suspend your newspaper delivery, for example if you are going on holiday or are on an extended business trip. You are required to provide at least 5 business days advance notice for this to be implemented.

Do I automatically get online access when I subscribe to a print subscription?
No. An FT print subscription does not include access to FT.com. In order to do so you will need to take out a print + digital subscription. This will provide you with daily newspaper delivery as well as unlimited access to FT.com via desktop, tablet and mobile.

Are there different levels of print subscription? Do I have to take all 6 days?
