The Rumour File heard of Six Dachshund puppies that had been stolen in northern Victoria.

The 2-week-old pups were taken yesterday from their home at Kyabram.

The puppies were returned to the mother just after 9pm on Thursday.

Owner of the puppies, Brooke Heazlewood spoke with Justin and Kate.

"We took the kids out for the day, we were home around 3 O'Clock.

"The kids went running in to see the puppies and they were gone."

Brooke told 3AW Breakfast the puppies had only just opening their eyes two day ago. 

The puppies mother is distraught, Brooke has been forced to milk her during the night.

"I have great fears, if it was someone just taking them with no knowledge."

"They will need to be syringe fed, they're still on their mum."

If anyone sees the puppies for sale, they are urged to contact police.
