Oklahoma City is the capital and largest city of the state of Oklahoma. The county seat of Oklahoma County, the city ranks 27th among United States cities in population. The population grew following the 2010 Census, with the population estimated to have increased to 620,602 as of July 2014. As of 2014, the Oklahoma City metropolitan area had a population of 1,322,429, and the Oklahoma City-Shawnee Combined Statistical Area had a population of 1,459,758 (Chamber of Commerce) residents, making it Oklahoma's largest metropolitan area. Oklahoma City's city limits extend into Canadian, Cleveland, and Pottawatomie counties, though much of those areas outside of the core Oklahoma County area are suburban or rural (watershed). The city ranks as the eighth-largest city in the United States by land area (including consolidated city-counties; it is the largest city in the United States by land area whose government is not consolidated with that of a county or borough).
Oklahoma City, lying in the Great Plains region, features one of the largest livestock markets in the world. Oil, natural gas, petroleum products and related industries are the largest sector of the local economy. The city is situated in the middle of an active oil field and oil derricks dot the capitol grounds. The federal government employs large numbers of workers at Tinker Air Force Base and the United States Department of Transportation's Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (these two sites house several offices of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Department's Enterprise Service Center, respectively).

Early news reports reported of unexploded bombs found INSIDE the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, and news footage even showed bomb-truck arriving at the scene. This is clearly contradicting the official version of the OKC bombing, which states that the explosion was caused by truck bomb by Timothy McVeigh. ..so who placed the bombs inside the building, and why the cover up?! There are some theories that Timothy McVeigh actually was working as an undercover agent for some US agency, and was set up to get blamed for the bombing which was orchestrated by rogue-agents within the US security apparatus. :: ::: Many incidents of political terror from the Cold War Europe was manipulated/orchestrated by intelligence and security agencies. The Oklahoma City economy continues to benefit from its exposure to the regional energy boom, posting consistently solid job gains. And yet, apartment revenue growth levels have slowed down of late – even without much new supply to worry about. What’s happening in OKC, and will revenue growth pick back up?

The Cherokee Nation officially released its latest economic impact report at news conferences in Oklahoma City and Tulsa today. The independent report finds the Cherokee Nation has an impact of more than $1 billion on the state's output level. That includes $401 million in state income impacts, while directly and indirectly supporting more than 13,500 jobs. "One of my top priorities is to accurately quantify the impact the Cherokee Nation has on our state's economy," Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Bill John Baker said. "While we knew all along the impact was substantial, we were proud to see the significant impact our tribal and business operations have on the state of Oklahoma." The report studied the economic impact from Cherokee operations in the 14 counties of the Cherokee Nation....
The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education and the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum partnered to offer the first ever teacher training workshop that focused on the economic and financial impact of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Educators learned firsthand how Oklahoma City was rebuilt after the bombing and how it continues to be transformed today.
A new economic impact report by Dr. Russell Evans of Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University shows the Cherokee Nation now has a $1.55 billion impact on the state’s economy, making the tribe one of the state’s biggest economic drivers.
http://virtualrealestateteam.com. Oklahoma City before 1982 used to be a city dominated by the oiled natural gas business. After the bust we found out the true meaning of a one dimensional economy with a long lasting deep recession. Since that time we have pursued outstanding ideas that have lead to a different city with a diversified economy, so when we lose jobs because of energy prices does Oklahoma roll up it's sidewalks like in 1982 when the energy bubble burst? Here is the telling statistic: Before the energy bust, Oklahoma City was at 3.3% unemployment rate, the second lowest for metro areas over 1 million, Austin was first at 3.1%. After the energy prices dropped significantly the unemployment was at, wait for it....3.3%. Just think what we would be like if energy was $65 a barrel?...

http://virtualrealestateteam.com. In 1982 I owned home electronic stores in Oklahoma and the oil business was booming until in July a formerly small suburban bank in Penn Square Mall was closed by the FDIC because OPEC had turned the oil spigots back on and a 60% drop in oil prices caused this heavily leverage bank to fail. Literally overnight banks and oil companies closed and even the largest bank in Chicago and the second largest in Seattle shut their doors because of the fall. It took Oklahoma City over 15 years to recover from that bubble bursting. Now fast forward to 2015 and oil again has dropped 60% and now we have the sound of silence. No banks are failing, no energy companies are going out of business, not value loss in real estate so what gives and what made the difference? Firs...

Betty was a blonde blue eyed baby
Who marked her first birthday on easter morning
but her parents had other reasons to celebrate that day
Betty had just learnt to walk by herself
and her mother's got a new job just downtown
cross from the Phillip P. Murrah in an office tower
But they don't like to see the children play
they don't like the government so what have they done
all the toys are covered in blood
a little fire truck is broken
Well I guess that they think it'd be better
to reign down in hell
than to serve up in heaven
well the devil's got a seat next to him
Oh Timmy, he's waiting
Where was god?
and don't you tell us how he works in mysterious ways?
for when all is lost we're tired
of hearing that line
Where was god?
and do you think that she'll find the faith that she needs?
for when all is lost and gone... and gone...
well they don't like to see the children play
they don't like the government so what have they done
all the toys are covered in blood
a little fire truck is broken... is broken...
where was god?
they don't like to see the children play
don't you tell us how he works in mysterious ways
they don't like the government so what have they done
for when all is lost and gone... and gone...
But at least we have our thoughts to remember
the pictures of you, we treasured a few
never forget that god bless the people... of Oklahoma City
