Issues casting to Chromecast Overall the app works well if you want to view on phone or laptop, however we wanted to watch older shows on or television using the app and casting it. Unfortunately our cable provider does not have older seasons of many showtime episodes on demand, hence why we downloaded the app. When we attempt to watch a show, any show, it will stream on the phone or computer fine, but as soon as you cast, the TV says that we are outside of the US and doesn't allow us to watch the show.

Would give more stars, but... Updated 7/28/2016: I revisited my review since Showtime added Chromecast support. The app itself works ok, so I've changed my review from 2 to 3 stars. Original Review: The lack of Chromecast support is keeping me from rating this app higher. Please consider offering this feature. Showtime is the only media streamer (at least of the ones I subscribe to) that does not offer Chromecast.

Complete CRAP The only reason, that I'm giving this App one star, is because you have to leave at least one, to leave a review. This App. is complete GARBAGE. I've tried logging on with my AT&T Uverse account and keep getting told that I am NOT currently subscribed to Sho Time. I HAVE BEEN SUBSCRIBED to ShoTime, since I've had my Uverse account for 3 years. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and NOTHING WORKS. I've even gone as far as to reset my AT&T password. NOTHING WORKS and it's very irritating

Can't rewatch shows Trying to watch an episode that already played through because I fell asleep and the only option is to resume, can't play from the beginning. It opens the episode and then closes and no option to play from the beginning. Maybe we need to be able to watch things more than once? Atrocious oversight.

Unable to connect to the internet Why? I'm a technician for Charter and I understand the networking very well. This is THEE only app with this issue on my phone and ipad. Why? Plz fix your streaming issues and voice quality. It sounds low, and could hardly hear when/if it works!

I have to re-activate this app every month it seems. Not worth using it! App opens and loads movies so slow! Dumb that I can't activate this app on my Amazon Fire TV through the app or at least from my phones internet connection. You make us activate through a PC which I don't have with me. Idiots! Also dumb that I need this app to activate on my Roku. Idiots again! And for a third time it's dumb that I need to activate the app every month. You Idiots ruin the experience. It's not worth the aggravation. I'm done with this app.

Bipolar usability Sometimes it works flawlessly; it's fast, it's responsive, it's got great video quality. Other times; it plays for a minute then loads, slow as a sloth and looks to be MAYBE 480 res... Oh well there is always Netflix right?

Doesn't work It let's you see some of the shows and movies but when you click on something it has you choose a provider. I went through all of that and it gets stuck at the part where it is supposed to text you a code. It won't send the code so the app is useless.

Loading, loading, loading errrrrrgh! Constantly loading takes forever to watch anything! All your response is to visit such n such site, why don't you just fix the streaming issues it is on your end apparently you do not have a high enough streaming speed to keep up with the million downloads! FIX IT! I have been trying to watch the same episode of House of Lies for a little over 3 hours, why? Well because it keeps loading and loading and loading until finally it says error message UNABLE TO PLAY! WHY? I PAY SHOULD PLAY!

Edit: a year later, and just as awful Still can't log in with uverse even though we have a showtime subscription. No one really wants to help either. I guess it's not like it's HBO. They don't have any face to save. Set the bar a bit higher next time.

Unable to connect to the internet I see Im not the only one with this problem. It hasnt worked for almost 24 hours, unable to connect to the internet. That is just unacceptable for such a massive company. An app should never be down for more than a couple hours, let alone going on a full day. Hire some better people to make sure your product that your customers pay for works.

We hate to hear that you're disappointed. SOUL FOOD is certainly a classic, but we hope that you will give other SHOWTIME programming a try. Verizon fios Used to work great. All other providers can sign in, but not fios. I have reinstalled at least 6 times over the past 2 week's... This will be my last time uninstalling it. Useless to me. Hopefully others have better luck.

The app shouldve been called Showtime sometime a year ago.. now its showtime most of the time.. movie selection has never been great despite a few forgotten gems.. but of all the premium channels it has the best original series 2nd to only hbo... must have if your into series more than movies.. skip if your a film buff. Disappointing bugs ruin experience.. once a bugs fixed a new one appears.. at least we dont need a "Showtime account" and only allowed 5 devices anymore..

Unnecessary steps to use This is the only app I have used that requires me to create an additional login just to use. I've used various other apps from hbogo, hgtv, food network, espn, etc. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to have to create a login just to watch showtime when the website already connects to one's service provider. Just another app that wants you to give all your information so they can track everything you watch and send you useless information to your email.

Good app but I have a few issues Only problem I have is it won't cast to my TV for some reason,the option is there but just doesn't work.I know it's not my TV or phone cuz it works on all my other apps.Is this a common problem or just my problem?Also app is not available on my Samsung tv,Ray Donovan is a great show it's just getting a little old having to watch on my phone every week

Finally Dish and Chromecast support I initially gave this app 1 star. Was glitchy, crashed, screwed Dish subscribers, and didn't support Chromecast. Well, Showtime fixed every issue, only took them 37.6 years (technology time). 4 of 5 stars now. Better than the HBOgo app now.

Why is contacts permissions used? These should also be requested at run time. (A little hard to rate a 1 star as the app otherwise is pretty simple and smooth to use).

Have to add every episode individually Seems like a decent app, except that if I want to add a series to my list, I have to add every episode individually. Click on the episode, add to list, back out, hit the next episode, add to list, back out, and so on. If I could at least add an entire season at once, that would be a nice compromise.

We love this rating! Thank you for this great feedback, and thank you for watching SHOWTIME! Please get rid of device limit It really causes a problem. I never knew there was a limit so I had not deleted old devices and got locked out from the Showtime app when I had to delete and reinstall the app. Fortunately I was able to set up another login under another sub-account on my email account but it was a big pain to get done.

While seasons 1-5 of SHAMELESS are currently available for viewing, season 6 is scheduled to be available beginning August 21, 2016. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but rest assured season 6 will be available later this summer, which will be in advance of the premiere of season 7 on October 2, 2016. Needs work In today's streaming market customers demand ease of use and streamlined integration across platforms. With great content and a large budget I'm surprised they didn't do a better job

It'll take you 3 hrs to watch a 1hr show. Has to load every 3 mins. If you pause the show to let it catch up you'll get an error message. Needs LOTS of work!! Better off to stream from Hulu.

Better data tech Need to get with times, if Hulu, and Netflix can figure a way to stream without killing our data and preserve quality, you can too. 30 min = 1 gig vs 4hrs = 1 gig, says tons. Will 5 star when you match or go beyond the others on this issue.
Can't connect to Internet Used to enjoy Showtime Anytime but now will not work on any of my devices: roku, Android phone, or laptop. This is the only app with this problem.
