Template talk:Apparitions approved by the Catholic Church

Approval process[edit]

Some apparitions are mistakenly considered approved by a Bishop or the Holy See, for example, Our Lady of Akita is approved by the Bishop but not by the Holy See, while the apparitions to Saint Margaret Mary are approved by the Holy See and not just by her Bishop. Usually, approval and disapproval come with a decree or letter, archived in the Archdiocese (for episcopal approval) and Vatican Archives (for papal approval). Sometimes, these letters get lost in the sands of history, or else the apparition is deemed a mere legend, or else a false apparition gets handed down as a legend, so err on the side of prudence. Suggestions on changing catholic to Catholic[edit]

The word "catholic" means "universal" and is related to the idea of the ecclesia. It is a general term for that can be used in various ways. The denomination specified here is the Roman Catholic church, and both Roman and Catholic are proper names as used here. This template is in error (Roman catholic) and I attempted to fix it but it does not seem to have worked. Any ideas? I am not familiar with editing templates. I did make the change, but the Talk page link is then lost. Would a page move be needed? I reverted my correction of capitalization to preserve the Talk page for now. Al Leluia81 (talk) 18:07, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Chicbyaccident moved the page and renamed it and now it is fixed. Looks great now. Al Leluia81 (talk) 15:59, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
