Ben Cutting sets himself up for life after cricket

AUSSIE cricketer Ben Cutting is looking for new tenants to fill his Morningside home.

Cutting, who has a keen eye for real estate, purchased the renovated Queenslander in January, 2015 as an investment property.

“When I got wind of the 2014 Brisbane City Plan overhaul, there were quite a few zoning changes, leaning more towards low-medium density residential,” Cutting said.

“I immediately began targeting LMR blocks over 810sq m with development potential within 5-6kms of the CBD.

“Knowing that in years to come these developable blocks would command a premium so close to the city.”

The family Cutting bought his investment home off remained living there as tenants while they built their next house.

They’ve now moved on and the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home is available at $730/week.

It has ducted airconditioning upstairs, a study, covered carport, and a large covered rear deck overlooking a fully-fenced block of turf perfect for a game of backyard cricket.

The property is listed with McGrath Bulimba’s Bradley Weston and Stepfanie Regan.

Meantime, Cutting is also busy building another investment home in Cannon Hill which will be available to rent early next year.
