The Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). The duo began as an independent act, recording music in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during a second wave of the genre's revival in the 2010s. The band's raw blues rock sound draws heavily from Auerbach's blues influences, including Junior Kimbrough, Howlin' Wolf, and Robert Johnson.
Friends since childhood, Auerbach and Carney founded the group after dropping out of college. After signing with indie label Alive, they released their debut album, The Big Come Up (2002), which earned them a new deal with Fat Possum Records. Over the next decade, the Black Keys built an underground fanbase through extensive touring of small clubs, frequent album releases and music festival appearances, and substantial licensing of their songs. Their third album, Rubber Factory (2004), received critical acclaim and boosted the band's profile, eventually leading to a record deal with major label Nonesuch Records in 2006. After self-producing and recording their first four records in makeshift studios, the duo completed Attack & Release (2008) in a professional studio and hired producer Danger Mouse, a frequent collaborator with the band.
The Black is a rock band from Austin, Texas that formed in 2002 when singer/songwriter David Longoria began collaborating with drummer Andy Morales. The two were later joined by renowned guitarist Alan Schaefer (son of famous guitar maker Ed Schaefer) and Nick Moulos of the Austin band The Crackpipes.
The group began playing regularly at Emo's and house parties until Schaefer moved to France to teach English in 2004. Longoria joined major label act ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead during the band's hiatus, his first performance with them on the Late Show with David Letterman in January 2005. Schaefer joined the rest of the band to support Trail of Dead on their European Worlds Apart tour. During the tour Trail of Dead was the band's backing band for a handful of shows.
Their full-length album Tanglewood was recorded in 2004 and released the spring of 2005 on their own record label K Woo.
The band's next release, titled Donna, was released in the summer of 2007.

Rubber Factory is the third studio album by American rock duo The Black Keys. It was self-produced by the band and was released on September 7, 2004 on Fat Possum Records. The album was recorded in an abandoned tire-manufacturing factory in the group's hometown of Akron, Ohio. Rubber Factory received positive reviews and was the band's first album to chart on the Billboard 200 in the United States, reaching number 143.
The Black Keys recorded their first two studio albums in drummer Patrick Carney's basement. For their third studio album, the band was forced to find a new recording location, as the building that Carney lived in was sold by its landlord. They decided to set up a makeshift studio in a dilapidated factory in their hometown of Akron, Ohio that was previously used by General Tire to manufacture rubber tires. The band rented the entire second floor of the building for $500 per month, dubbing their workspace "Sentient Sound". General Tire closed the factory in 1982, though space in the building was still being leased out at the time of recording. Of the factory, Carney said it was "not really ideal in any way. It's too far away. It's on the second story. It's hot as hell. You can't open the windows. The acoustics are horrible." For recording, the group used a mixing console that Carney purchased on eBay from a former sound technician for Canadian rock band Loverboy. Frequent malfunctions with the console stretched the sessions nearly five months; the group ultimately ditched the console in the factory after completing Rubber Factory. The album was recorded on recycled tape provided by the band's record label Fat Possum from its studios in Mississippi.

Learn to play 10 A.M. Automatic by The Black Keys, from the Rubber Factory album, released in 2004. This is not a note-for-note transcription. But I've played most of the licks that are on the original version and I've also created my own licks, playing it together with the main riff. The idea here was to improvise some licks, playing it together with the main riff. That's the way Dan Auerbach plays this song live: Not always playing the same thing, but improvising. Here is the link to the backing track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HKdurP3kT0&feature;=youtu.be So you can jam creating your own licks. Try to play the main riff and improvise a lick in the gap between the G and the F chords, using the G minor pentatonic scale. I hope that you enjoy! By the way if you want to contribute ...

Article and photos: http://bit.ly/BlackKeysRR2014 Premier Guitar’s Chris Kies is on location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the BMO Bradley Center to get a rig reprisal on Akron’s favorite guitarist. In typical Auerbach fashion, the guitar boat is stocked with forgotten oddballs, mostly built in the Chicago area during the ’50s and ’60s. His newest “main” axe is an emerald green ’60s Custom Kraft semi-hollowbody that Johnson found on eBay a few months ago. Auerbach bought it immediately. This beauty is used onstage to cover parts of the band’s two newest albums—El Camino and Turn Blue. To get this booger rocking, Johnson had to reset the neck because of a horrible backbow—he also added a two-way truss rod to help with future repairs. Johnson then installed new frets, replaced the nut, and a...

Noel Webster is one elusive cat. The man operates Muscle Shoals Sound in Sheffield, Alabama; a recording studio with a past as rich as some of the greatest studios in rock-n-roll history. “Hyperbole,” you ask? Perhaps. Perhaps, that is, if an act named the Rolling Stones doesn’t ring a bell. And you’ve never heard of Paul Simon. Or Bob Seger. Or Aretha Franklin. Or Rod Stewart. Or Lynyrd Skynyrd. Or….get our drift? Here is the link to the backing track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HKdurP3kT0&feature;=youtu.be So you can jam creating your own licks. Try to play the main riff and improvise a lick in the gap between the G and the F chords, using the G minor pentatonic scale. I hope that you enjoy! By the way if you want to contribute ...
"10 A.M. Automatic" is the second track from The Black Keys third studio album entitled "Rubber Factory", which was released September 7, 2004. Enjoy.

(2016)Must see film, exposing the truth behind the US media; FEAR MONGERING, ISIS, FALSE FLAGS, EBOLA, ZIKA, 9/11 & OTHER TERROR ATTACKS. Mass Media serves one purpose, and it's not journalism " Fear, Fear, Fear!!!". Deliberate use of fear including exaggeration, and usually repetition to influence the public in order to achieve a desired outcome. Do not question authority! Submit, and Obey!
