#SnapMelbourne: Wentworth star Libby Tanner backs photo campaign in one of her favourite Melbourne spots

WITH less than a week until SnapMelbourne, one person who is getting ready to put our city in the frame is Wentworth actor Libby Tanner.

“It’s just such a lovely idea and it’ll be amazing to have a look at all the beautiful coverage of people photographing their take on Melbourne,” Tanner said.

Best known for her roles in Wentworth and All Saints, Tanner had a somewhat nomadic upbringing traversing Melbourne suburbs – from her mother’s boarding houses in Elsternwick and Kew to schools in Toorak, Devon Meadows and Preston.

The actor was tight-lipped about whether her character Bridget Westfall would appear in season five of Wentworth but said she had loved filming the show in Williamstown.

“The show is so intense so I would love to take a walk along the beautiful waterfront before work. Sometimes I’d learn my lines there,” Tanner said. “I lived in Sydney for 10 years when we were filming All Saints but I’ll always love Melbourne.”

Tanner is one of many public figures getting behind #SnapMelbourne on Wednesday, November 16 , including TV chef Curtis Stone, the stars of TV show Neighbours andOpposition Leader Bill Shorten.

The day is dedicated to celebrating what we love about our incredible city — for 24 hours, we are inviting you to snap pictures of Melbourne life and share them with your fellow Melburnians on social media.
