Plaid (band)
Plaid is a British electronic music duo from London, composed of Andy Turner and Ed Handley. They were founding members of The Black Dog and used many other names, such as Atypic (Andy Turner) and Balil (Ed Handley), before settling on Plaid. They have collaborated with female singers Mara Carlyle,Nicolette and Björk, and have released records on the labels Clear, Peacefrog, Black Dog Productions, and Warp Records (along with Trent Reznor's label Nothing Records).
Aside from their own material, Plaid have done extensive remix work for many other artists, including Red Snapper, Björk, Goldfrapp, and The Irresistible Force. Parts in the Post (2003) contains just a handful of Plaid's remix work to date.
Plaid collaborated with video artist Bob Jaroc for their live performances and on the 5.1 audio/visual project entitled Greedy Baby. The project was completed on 20 July 2005, and was first shown at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in the South Bank Centre, and subsequently at the BFI Imax cinema in Waterloo, London. Greedy Baby was released on DVD from Warp Records on 26 June 2006.

Beginnings (Ambrose Slade album)
Beginnings is the debut album by the English rock band Slade, who were at the time known as 'Ambrose Slade'. It was released on 9 May 1969, but failed to enter the charts. It was released as Ballzy in the U.S. It was also re-released years later under the title Beginnings of Slade.
Beginnings was remastered in 2006 and released with their second album Play It Loud on a single CD. Bonus tracks are the singles "Wild Winds Are Blowing" and "Get Down And Get With It".
The artwork for the album featured a photo of the band on the Pouk Hill in Wolverhampton. The band didn't enjoy the photo session due to the cold weather.
Background
In February 1969, the group (then known as The 'N Betweens) managed to get a deal with Fontana Records. A&R boss Jack Baverstock teamed the band with engineer Roger Wake to record an album. Reluctantly the band agreed to Baverstock's condition that they adopted the name Ambrose Slade. "His secretary was a bit loopy, she named everything she owned," lead singer Noddy Holder later revealed. "Her handbag was called Ambrose, her powder compact Slade. Jack just put them together, we hated the name."

Beginnings is an album by the progressive rock band Happy the Man, released in 1990 but composed of material written and recorded during Happy the Man's first two years, 1974 and 1975. Originally recorded on 2- and 4-track tape as demos, the material was compiled and transferred to DAT where additional mixing and processing was added by Kit Watkins.

It’s time for an incredible petrol vs electric drag race!
The Lamborghini Revuelto is back, and it’s going head-to-head against the almighty Tesla Model S Plaid! So let’s see how these two incredible machines compare.
Starting with the Lambo, it’s powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 along with THREE electric motors! These combine to produce 1,015hp and 1,076Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,772kg. If you’re looking to pick one up, it’ll cost you at least £447,000!
Then alongside it we have the Tesla. It’s powered by three electric motors, and these combine to produce 1,020hp and 1,420Nm of torque. It’s also well up on weight compared to the Revuelto, tipping the scales at 2,539kg! It’s a whole lot cheaper, mind, costing around £115,000.
So they’re almost neck-and-neck when it comes to power, but will the extra weight bring the Tesla down? Or will the instant power release propel it to victory? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
