Peter Kenneth Frampton (born 22 April 1950) is an English rock musician, singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. He was previously associated with the bands Humble Pie and The Herd. Frampton's international breakthrough album was his live release, Frampton Comes Alive! The album sold more than six million copies in the United States alone and spawned several hits. Since then he has released several major albums. He has also worked with David Bowie and both Matt Cameron and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, among others.
Frampton is best known for such hits as "Breaking All the Rules", "Show Me the Way", "Baby, I Love Your Way", "Do You Feel Like We Do", and "I'm in You", which remain staples on classic rock radio. He has also appeared as himself in television shows such as The Simpsons and Family Guy. Frampton is known for his work as a guitar player and particularly with a Talkbox and his tenor voice.
Peter Kenneth Frampton was born in Bromley, UK. He attended Bromley Technical High School, at which his father, Owen Frampton, was a teacher and the head of the Art department. He first became interested in music when he was seven years old. Upon discovering his grandmother's banjolele (a banjo-shaped ukulele) in the attic, he taught himself to play, and later taught himself to play guitar and piano as well. At age eight he started taking classical music lessons.

Frampton Comes Alive! is a double live album by English rock musician Peter Frampton released in 1976, and one of the best-selling live albums in the United States. Following four solo albums with little commercial success, Frampton Comes Alive! was a breakthrough for the artist. Thanks for listening!

March 17, 2016 by BOB BOILEN • I could walk by Peter Frampton on the street and not recognize him. His long blond hair, which shines like a halo on his album Frampton Comes Alive! may be gone, but as soon as he sat behind the Tiny Desk and began singing, 1976 came rushing back. I worked in a record store the year Frampton Comes Alive! came out, and it was one of those records that seemed to have universal appeal. We sold a ton of copies of that double live album and I can still remember the label and number (A&M; 3703) from having written it on countless sales tickets. Forty years later, on the new album Acoustic Classics, Peter Frampton has taken those electric guitar songs, some linked forever to that unmistakable talk box effect, and stripped them down to their essence, just a few acous...

Article and photos: http://bit.ly/PeterFramptonRR Guitar icon Peter Frampton invites Premier Guitar’s John Bohlinger to his Nashville rehearsal studio to talk and demonstrate his sprawling live setup. The “Phenix” is Frampton’s famous, modified 1954 Les Paul Custom from the cover of Frampton Comes Alive. The name refers to the mythical bird that was raised from the ashes. This guitar, thought to be destroyed and lost for over 30 years—even surviving a plane crash in Venezuela—recently found its way back home to Frampton. To commemorate this historic guitar, Gibson has recreated a very small, exclusive run of reproductions with every burn, scratch, ding, and crack faithfully copied to match Frampton’s original. This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard previously belonged to famed songwriter...

This is a 3/4-inch broadcast tape, shot in 1978 for a Philadelphia TV station. It depicts rock musician Peter Frampton, then at the height of his popularity and a part owner of the Philadelphia Fury, a franchise in the old North American Soccer League. He is being taped saying one of the team's slogans: "I'm Furyous." Please give me strength, we've just begun
If you held a secret, please let me be the one to know
Going away, well I recall
Remember when you would leave me here
Send me a postcard
Signed, sent from the sun
I think, I can hear you
You were my only one
We've just begun
Why don't we learn that we must treasure
When you choose a lover, she must be aware
Photographs you take, show loving eyes
Smiling faces that can hide the truth
You don't care if they seem to stare
What you got, you ain't about to share
Help me, don't hurt me, I'm hanging on to a dream
If you lose this lover, you're going to have to be so strong
Don't run away, hey I recall
Remember when you would leave me here
Send me a postcard
Signed, sent from the sun
I think, I can hear you
You were my only one
We've just begun
We've just begun
We've just begun
We've just begun
