Future of UJS-NUS relationship remains unclear as officials meet Malia

Malia Bouattia and UJS officials met on Friday October 28, in what was described as “constructive meeting” by a UJS spokesperson.

‘Harrods croissant fight’ trial: Former Spurs exec David Buchler cleared

The former vice-chair of Tottenham Hotspur was cleared of punching another customer in a row in a Harrods queue after he claimed he was told to ‘f*** off’ and called a ‘dirty Jew.’

Speaking outside court Mr Buchler, 64, said: "I am immensely relieved. I'd like to thank the jury for finding the truth and for voting accordingly."

Board of Deputies president Jonathan Arkush under fire after message congratulating Trump

Transport police poster withdrawn after 'Nazi propaganda' outcry

British Transport Police (BTP) has bowed to public pressure by withdrawing a poster that critics claimed echoed Nazi propaganda.

The anti-terrorism banner, which in recent days has been pasted on billboards across British railway stations, was part of the force’s new “See It. Say It. Sorted.” campaign, encouraging the public to report suspicious behaviour.

Former Spurs exec David Buchler gives evidence in ‘Harrods croissant fight’ trial

The former vice chair of Tottenham Hotspur admitted accidentally elbowing a shopper in the face after being called a 'dirty Jew' for jumping the queue in Harrods, a court was told today.

David Buchler, 64, who was vice chair of Spurs in the 1990s, said he was trying to buy Jewish bread and some croissants when a couple aggressively accused him of pushing in.

Former Spurs executive 'punched shopper over antisemitic abuse'

The former vice-chair of Tottenham Hotspur broke a fellow shopper’s nose in Harrods after a row over two croissants, a court was told today.

David Buchler, who ran Spurs in the early ‘90s and oversaw Sir Alan Sugar’s takeover of the north London club, is accused of punching a shopper after getting into a dispute with his wife at the till.

Did Honey G use offensive language on Saturday's X Factor?

X Factor favourite Honey G has denied using racist language during her performance on the show on Saturday.

The rapper said she did not use the N-word during her version of Kriss Kross' 1993 classic, Jump.

However viewers of the ITV show claimed they heard the aspiring rapper use the offensive language when she performed the song.

Kosher deli Titanics is sunk by a changing market

Manchester’s oldest kosher delicatessen, which was named after the Titanic, has itself been sunk, a victim of increased competition and diminished customer loyalty.

Managing director Richard Hyman said he was too upset to talk about the closure of Titanics, a family business founded in 1913 by his great-grandfather Joseph Abraham Hyman, a survivor of the ill-starred cruise ship.

'Antisemitic abuse' in Stanmore - video

A JC reader was left “stunned” after being antisemitically abused by a man on a north-west London street yesterday.

The reader was walking in Stanmore, north-west London yesterday afternoon at around 3pm, when a male passer-by, he claimed, “deliberately tripped” him.

When the reader challenged the man, he was told, “go f*** yourself.”
