Digital photography, with its limited ability to capture rapid movement, renders the close combat choppy and disorienting, and none of the kills is especially memorable.

For an actor who, with the "Transporter" films, once imbued the action genre with a new sense of possibility and winking sophistication, Mr. Statham is on cruise control.

I was really looking forward to Mechanic: Resurrection. Shame on me.

There's some pleasant globe-trotting - Brazil to Thailand to Australia to Bulgaria - and a lot of over-the-top fights. But don't be surprised if after a few rounds, you find yourself wishing for...
Russ Fischer
This sequel carries forward only two ideas: that gimmick-y "assassinations that look like accidents" are a valid substitute for story, and that Jason Statham can carry an action movie even when it...

When it comes out on home video, fast-forward to the stunts. You won't miss a thing.

TOTALLY ORIGINAL ONE OF A KIND CONCEPT! 1: Assassin who secretly has a heart of gold and a emotional attachment to a woman 2: Assassin gets "pulled back in" to do "One last job" 3: Quirky, almost likable bad guy with hip style and idiosyncrasies, gets into a personal war of wills with assassin. 4: Assassin doesn't kill the person who wants to kill him, (he is a PEACEFUL ASSASSIN) When he has the chance. 5: We learn once again, in assassin land, that planet earth is populated mainly by pretty girls in bikinis and sun dresses, and exotic bad guys trying to kill us. When he not a-killin', he's a- lovin' What more could you possibly ask for? The perfect movie for those of us who never made made it to mensa.
Bill Warner brutally attacks companion after disagreement. In this marvelous display we witness a male, who could be well over the age of 30; Apparently getting heated towards his at the moment companion "Mechanic: Resurrection", it apparently started when the companion used actor Jason Statham as the leading role... this seemed to have upset Bill Warner to an exuberant degree, Bill decided to lash out and write an exceptionally hateful and harassment filled review. Thus leaving his ex-companion traumatized, in tears and with an unjustified one star review. Unable to recover after the barbaric attack, and too traumatized to continue living "Mechanic: Resurrection" committed suicide shortly thereafter.
I don't know why the professional reviewers were so hard on this movie. It's typical Jason Statham material with lots of action and exotic locations. It's got a rather weak story and plot but that doesn't really matter. How many of his movies have been "Gone with the Wind" caliber anyway? I enjoyed the movie and didn't spend a lot of time analyzing sub plots or character strengths. I just watched it, enjoyed it and that was enough. If you enjoy watching action movies, like Statham's style and don't mind seeing Jessica Alba in a bikini, then this movie is for you.
This was incredibly hard to watch all of the way through. I have liked all of Jason's movies up until now. It's like they hired the stars and just phoned the rest in. The acting was horrible, the plot was weak, and the fighting made it look like there was no challenge for Statham at all. My wife loves Jason Statham and she couldn't even watch this all of the way through.
Boring No obstacles for the main character. He and the leading lady go over the whole plot, it happens exactly the way they say it would. She is a damsel in distress, they fall in love, he saves her and gets out of every obstacle unscathed. Too predictable.
Predictable? Maybe.... Action packed? Without a doubt! If you liked the first Jason Borne movie's action, then Mechanic is going to be one you'll want to see. One thing interesting about this movie is it had a rather European Action film style to it, and yet it had enough American explosions, gunfire and guts to please even the best action junkie. (like me)... All in all the action was great, the scenery was magnificent! (Thank You Jessica for wearing a bathing suit) and the entire acting crew was fantastic. A movie worth renting or owning for sure!
Holy excrement sandwich, Batman. This "sequel" (it isn't) is everything a person should fear when sitting down to watch the long-awaited sequel to a favorite film. It occasionally happens that a supposed sequel is made by entirely different people than made the original film, and they make their own unrelated movie and just slap the name of the first movie on it for marketing purposes. This is just such a case. Avoid it. Watch the original Mechanic, though, great, dark film.
Disappointed Poor script. Fair acting. The beginning was just horrible.. I'm at a loss for words with how bad it was. I will give Jason 5 stars and his companion actor 4 stars. I don't believe it's their fault.
It's sad when haters make comments. It's a typical action movie if you don't like action then watch something else. Maybe you guys could watch a musical or cartoons.
Wow this was bad.... Normally don't review but this movie was really bad. Don't worry about the water money, worry more about the 1.5 hours of your life you will never get back.
5 out of respect I give Jason Statham 5 out of respect. The man stays his lane he does movies that he can do. He does his best not his fault the story sucks or they switch directors. 98% of us can't do what he does and are far worse actors than him. 1 thing you can bank on with Jason is good fight scenes .
Better than expected Pure entertainment! The movie kicks off and maintains an action packed pace. The only downside side comes from how far one must stretch their imagination during certain scenes. "Bishop's," escapes from certain circumstances, coupled with his ability to effortlessly overcome overwhelming odds, push the limits; but we don't watch such movies for their adherence to reality. We watch for entertainment.
Everything is awful Poor choreography, poor CGI, "Lois & Clark"-level blue screen, poor "stunts," impossibly bad acting (think high school theatre if half the cast were coke-fried strippers): basically nothing in this movie is acceptably well-done.
Eh... Alba is terrible, as usual. Statham makes up for it in the fight scenes. Nothing out of the box here. A predictable, but entertaining movie.
Couldn't even finish it Typically I can enjoy a Statham movie and everything that comes with it but this starts off slow and bored me enough to shut it off. The story wasn't convincing in the slightest.
Boring Oh Jason, your past few movies are garbage and this one included. I don't wanna see any of your movies again for the rest of my life. You play the role of transporter in all your movies and this is so boring that i don't see an actor in you anymore. I just realized that you are a horrible actor.
I usually don't like too many of Jason Statham movies, because there's usually a lot of cursing and too much violence. I do like him in the "Expendables" movies. But this was exciting from the beginning to the end. The plot was great! So were the stunts! But do I know? I'm just a woman!
Unclear? Why did Craine need to kill the three people? He could say they're a killers but of course he is too! And everything else were very unrealistic way too much! The way Arthur was killing them, his movements were like a ghost!
So bad He kills about 40 henchmen with his bare hands and another 30 with a knife and another 40 with his gun and another 10 with a borrowed gun. No story, two good scenes. He sucks too often. Its too bad because he was going to play myself in my biopic. Rowan Atkinson is in
Painful to watch, so bad, like, wow Not even bad like in a good way, just terrible terrible garbage movie
This movie has a great plot the ending could have been a bit better. Note i did watch the movie twice in two days. Best part is the seen where he blows a hole in the bottom of the mod bosses pool must see.
Boring Jason could have done better . he a great actor. And yet he limit himself to this cheesy film smh
Great movie Just thought the beginning was nothing... new I guess other then that would recommend watching this if you haven't already
Lighter then Mechanic 1 This could have been a stand alone movie and is not on the level of quality as Mechanic 1. Alba returning to an action flick is welcome and she gives a good performance. My wife enjoyed it and would recommend it as a rental.
Boring Fell asleep half movie. No good storyline, no chemistry between main characters. They just throw bikini and muscle to each other. Unrealistic fighting.
Other mission impossible Mission impossible x3, all in one story but very good action
Omg this movie😩 I was on the edge of my seat and/or biting my nails for every big action scene lol especially the ending
Not that good really I just didnt like it i seens they rushed this movie like they didnt take time on it it was rushed all points of the movie
Bag of .... Time would be better spent punching yourself in your face then watching this garbage.
The Mechanic Resurrection. staring Jason Statham, The mechanic with Jason Statham is always exciting to watch any of his filems I look forward to seeing all of his movies.,he seems to teem up with the right actors.ya gota like this guy he's one of a kind. H.J.S.
Not the best Rent, not own. Jessica Alba's acting is painful to watch.
Not the best. It was alright, it felt like it was made cause someone was bored.
A standard action flick This movie is everything you expect out of a Jason Statham movie with a little globetrotting thrown in. While nothing really new or incredible it's a fun watch.
Don't listen to the critics who bashed the film, they are Dishonest lol
Huh bad ratings !!! This movie is excellent !!! What movie did you siskel and ebert clowns see...
sophmore jinx formula hostage story takes the edge off of a good action movie. what self respecting mechanic falls for a girl?
As usual, Statham is the best in his performance as an SOF of sorts but, I have never known a minute to last as long as it does in this and of course many other movies but I guess that is what keeps the action moving. Again, as usual, Statham is the best!
Doggie I no this is tacky to say in a public form. But who said o had any scrooples? I want to bend Jessica over and hit it doggie style until I can't do it no more.
