TV9 - Shivanna 25 : "Sridhar & Wife Anuradha" Bharatnatyam Performance - 3....!
The entire Kannada film industry is coming together today, 2nd March 2011, to celebrate Shivraj Kumar's successful stint in the Sandalwood for the past 25 years. And what better day to do it than the Maha Shivratri!
A grand function will be held at Gayatri Vihar in Palace Grounds and it will be attended by noted film stars, directors, producer, technicians and politicians. A cultural program is also on cards and this will go on for three hours with noted celebrities performing on stage.
The ever-magnanimous Shivanna also has plans to felicitate Ramesh Aravind, Jagesh and V Ravichandran, who have also completed 25 years in the Kannada film industry. Kannada satellite channel TV9 has procured the broadcasting rights of this mega-scale event.

Shridhar (actor)
Sridhar is an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry, and also a dance scholar, performer and choreographer, trained in Bharatanatyam. He also holds a degree in Engineering. Sridhar is married to Anuradha, also a Bharatanatyam dance performer; both have performed for many dance shows as a duo.
Film career
He entered Kannada cinema as a hero in film Amrutha Ghalige, directed by Puttanna Kanagal. Since then he has acted in more than 60 films and has won many awards for his performances. He has acted in five languages namely Kannada Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
Kannada
He won the Karnataka State Government's Best Actor Award for his performance as the saint-poet Sharief, in the film "Santa Shishunala Shariefa". This film also won the prestigious Nargis Dutt award from the Central Government. His film Bannada Vesha in Kannada won the regional best film award in which he portrayed the character of a yakshagana artist. He also acted in many devotional films.
Tamil
K.Balachander introduced him to the Tamil screen with his film "Manathil Uruthi Vendum" (with Suhasini). He later acted in several Tamil films including Poo Pootta Nandavanam (with Sarita), Maha Maayi (with Shobhana).

Plot: After an enraged Rohit Bajaj fires his employee, Raghu Patkar, a male named Vicky Sinha, rescues Rohit's wife, Neha, when her car explodes. Plot: Leela and Bholaram are a childless couple. Leela works as a midwife, and one day assists Sunderdas' wife to give birth to twin boys. She decides to keep one baby for herself, and tells Sunderdas that his wife has given birth to one child. There are complications for the mother, and she passes away without seeing her children. Leela and Bholaram bring up Kanhaiya, while Sunderdas attempts to bring up Kishen, but is unable to do a good job. So he marries Kamini, who comes along with her brother, Ghendamal, to live at the estate. She has an illegitimate child named Ramesh from another man, and when Sunderdas comes to know of this, he is threatened and attacked, and as a result of which p is paralyzed, unable to move. Kishen is brought by Kamini and Ghendamal with lot of abuse, and intimidation, and is kept illiterate, so that he can blindly sign away whatever documents he is asked to sign. Kishen likes Radha, a servant, and is married, but the atrocities do not stop, and then Kishen runs away. Ghendamal captures Kanhaiya, who also looks like Kishen, and brings him back, not realizing that the tables are now going against him.

Plot: Due to her son's, Devdutt's arrest, Satyavati is unable to take the Badrinath Yatra. The entire Kannada film industry is coming together today, 2nd March 2011, to celebrate Shivraj Kumar's successful stint in the Sandalwood for the past 25 years. And what better day to do it than the Maha Shivratri!
A grand function will be held at Gayatri Vihar in Palace Grounds and it will be attended by noted film stars, directors, producer, technicians and politicians. A cultural program is also on cards and this will go on for three hours with noted celebrities performing on stage.
The ever-magnanimous Shivanna also has plans to felicitate Ramesh Aravind, Jagesh and V Ravichandran, who have also completed 25 years in the Kannada film industry. Kannada satellite channel TV9 has procured the broadcasting rights of this mega-scale event.

The movie begins with Chandu (Siddharth Narayan) and Siri (Shruti Haasan) as childhood friends. Chandu and Siri call each other "Faltoos" and "Killer", respectively, affectionately. Their friendship remains intact even as they grow up. Chandu who was sent to mumbai to do MBA, instead learns music and returns home which leads to agony of his father. However, Siri convinces Chandu's father that it is her responsibility to take care of Chandu's career. They go for an audition there they get a fight with a band and he is sent out of the audition. Prior to that, Siri accepts the love proposal by Uday (Navdeep), who lives in US after consulting Chandu. Later, Chandu and Siri accidentally meet their common friend in college, Ritu Sharma (Hansika Motwani) and Chandu falls in love with her at first sight. Chandu starts spending time with Ritu to impress her, but Siri feels that she is being avoided. Siri decides to leave for a dancing School at Chennai. Meanwhile, Ritu accepts Chandu's love proposal. When Siri is about to leave, Chandu apologises her that he had not noticed that she was being avoided. At the same time, Uday comes back from US to surprise her. Hence, she decides not to leave.

The two vital roles of this film - killer and to be killed - played by Atul Kulkarni and Aditya Singh is based on the script of well known writer and editor of 'Agni' tabloid Agni Sridhar. Earlier, Bhavana was supposed to play the lead role. But she has been replaced by Aakanksha of Olave Mandaara fame. The reason for this sudden change was because Bhavana suddenly fell ill and the doctors advised her to not face the arc lights. While the director wanted to wait till she recovered, it was Bhavana who encouraged her to look for another heroine.[4] The film made its theatrical release on 23 November 2012.

The movie received highly positive response both from the audience and from the critics. The critics lauded the movie for its stylish story telling, the performance of all the actors and theme of the movie. The times of India gave the movie 4 out of 5 and concluded saying "This movie is for those who want to know the life of underworld dons. Gripping narration and excellent screenplay with a touch of romance make the story quite interesting. Except for a few gunshots, there is not much violence in the story that keeps you on the edge of your seat till the end. The director has woven a romantic track brilliantly which ultimately shows its strength in the climax". The DNAIndia rated the movie 3.5/5 by concluding that "Take time off to watch the film, more so if you are tired of the same old formula films".
The movie is said to have set new standards of film making in the Kannada Film Industry and has attained a cult-classic status. Agni Shridhar considers this movie as the one close to his heart.

Edegarike (Kannada: ಎದೆಗಾರಿಕೆ) is a 2012 Indian Kannada crime - drama film directed by Sumana Kittur. The script is based on Agni Shridhar's novel with the same title name,which is based on his own experience. Agni Shridhar has written the script and dialogues for the film. Syed Aman Bachchan and M.S. Ravindra have produced the film under Megha Movies banner. Aditya, Atul Kulkarni and Akanksha are in the lead roles.[1] The film is based on the real-life incidents that occurred in the 1990s and is about cult figures in the Karnataka underworld like Sridhar, Muthappa Rai and Bachchan.[2][3]
