China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a sovereign state in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. The PRC is a one-party state governed by the Communist Party, with its seat of government in the capital city of Beijing. It exercises jurisdiction over 22 provinces; five autonomous regions; four direct-controlled municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Chongqing); two mostly self-governing special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau); and claims sovereignty over Taiwan.
Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometers, China is the world's second-largest country by land area, and either the third or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the method of measurement. China's landscape is vast and diverse, ranging from forest steppes and the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts in the arid north to subtropical forests in the wetter south. The Himalaya, Karakoram, Pamir and Tian Shan mountain ranges separate China from South and Central Asia. The Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, the third- and sixth-longest in the world, run from the Tibetan Plateau to the densely populated eastern seaboard. China's coastline along the Pacific Ocean is 14,500 kilometres (9,000 mi) long, and is bounded by the Bohai, Yellow, East and South China Seas.
China Daily (Chinese: 《中国日报》; pinyin: Zhōngguó Rìbào) is an English-language daily newspaper published in the People's Republic of China.
China Daily was established in June 1981 and has the widest print circulation of any English-language newspaper in China (over 200,000 copies per issue, of which a third are abroad). The editorial office is in the Chaoyang District of Beijing, and the newspaper has branch offices in most major cities of China as well as several major foreign cities including New York City, Washington, D.C., London and Kathmandu. The paper is published by satellite offices in the United States, Hong Kong, and Europe.
Published Monday to Saturday, it serves those who are foreigners in China, as well as those who wish to improve their English, and it is often used as a guide to government policy. The editorial policies differ in being slightly more liberal than most Chinese language newspapers. The stated goal of the newspaper is the presentation of "China and China's news to a unique group of readers and providing services and entertainment specially suited to those readers." As of its first publication on 1 June 1981, most of the editorial staff of China Daily are Chinese.
The Daily Show (also known as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart from 1999 until 2015, and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah as of 2015) is an American late-night talk and news satire television program, which airs each Monday through Thursday on Comedy Central and, in Canada, The Comedy Network.
The half-hour-long show premiered on July 21, 1996, and was hosted by Craig Kilborn until December 17, 1998. Jon Stewart then took over as the host from January 11, 1999 until August 6, 2015, making the show more strongly focused on politics and the national media, in contrast with the pop culture focus during Kilborn's tenure. Stewart was succeeded by Trevor Noah, whose tenure premiered on September 28, 2015. The Daily Show is the longest-running program on Comedy Central (counting all three tenures), and has won 22 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Describing itself as a fake news program, The Daily Show draws its comedy and satire from recent news stories, political figures, media organizations, and often aspects of the show itself. During Stewart's tenure, the show typically opened with a long monologue, relating to recent headlines and frequently featured exchanges with one or more of several correspondents, who adopted absurd or humorously exaggerated takes on current events against Stewart's straight man persona. The final segment was devoted to a celebrity interview, with guests ranging from actors and musicians to nonfiction authors and political figures.
Hong Kong (香港; "Fragrant Harbour"), officially Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea. Hong Kong is known for its skyline and deep natural harbour. It has a land area of 1104 km2 and shares its northern border with Guangdong Province of Mainland China. With around 7.2 million inhabitants of various nationalities, Hong Kong is one of the world's most densely populated metropolises.
After the First Opium War (1839–42), Hong Kong became a British colony with the perpetual cession of Hong Kong Island, followed by Kowloon Peninsula in 1860 and a 99-year lease of the New Territories from 1898. Hong Kong remained under British control for about a century until the Second World War, when Japan occupied the colony from December 1941 to August 1945. After the Surrender of Japan, the British resumed control. In the 1980s, negotiations between the United Kingdom and the China resulted in the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration, which provided for the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong on 30 June 1997. The territory became a special administrative region of China with a high degree of autonomy on 1 July 1997 under the principle of one country, two systems. Disputes over the perceived misapplication of this principle have contributed to popular protests, including the 2014 Umbrella Revolution.
China goes from a one-child policy to a two-child policy in hopes of lessening a massive gender imbalance and sustaining a growing elderly population. Watch full episodes of The Daily Show now: http://on.cc.com/1h5ThRg The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.

This is China. China is a big, wonderful country, and visiting here and living here is brilliant, but some things need to be known about it before coming. One thing that you must know is about the competition that exists in the daily lives of the Chinese people and how it manifests itself in visible ways. It cannot be overlooked if you truly want to know what living in China is like. As an American living in China, I have to say, it was pretty difficult to get used to, but I wouldn't trade living here with anything now! Shanghai - China Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Shanghai - China Travel Guide http://goo.gl/Cl0qNG Shanghai is the future all other Chinese cities aspire to reach. Forget creaking temples and dusty old palaces (there are plenty of them elsewhere); Shanghai is where people come to see modern China at its glimmering best. This fast-paced city of towering skyscrapers is, in fact, not without its own significant history. Its glory days of the 1930s helped build Shanghai's reputation as a City of Sin. But to pause for too long at the city's past would be missing the point: Shanghai is all about the future face of the world's future super power, and coming here is to witness what makes the business end of China tick. A state-run Chinese daily on Monday cried foul over India’s move to extend enhanced compensation for victims of terror to people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “lost patience and switched to the expected hard-line tone of hostility”. Referring to Modi’s comments on Balochistan for the first time, an article in the state-run Global Times website said he is raising it to divert attention from the tense situation prevailing in Kashmir. The Chinese Economy has been growing very rapidly over the past few decades and can only sustain so much more population and economic growth. The incredible way in which the Chinese economy came to be did not come free, however. The people of China are plagued with a horrendous amount of toxins and smog from their active factories. Daily, in cities like Beijing, the weather reports include smog warnings, and depending on the day, citizens may need to wear gas masks to avoid carcinogens and toxins from the air. The upper class and the privileged in China have air filters, but the poor and middle class who can't afford them are the ones who suffer. So, unless the Chinese government fixes this problem quickly, the people of China will revolt because of the pollution or their lack of civil lib...

now the clock counts down
time has faded, a change is coming, is in the air
midnight is waiting before you know it, it will be here!
when the clock strikes twelve tonight
grab me, never let me go!
can touch me, kiss me all the time
like you never see me again!
chorus:
let's live this moment like our last time,
so hold me like this is our last night
if the clock counts down form ten to one tonight
best start this countdown form ten to one!
now hold me like this is the last night
if the clock counts down from ten to one
best start this countdown form ten to one!
time is wasting, don't let me slip through your hands
like the hourglass, i can disappear like the sand!
when the clock strikes twelve tonight
grab me, never let me go!
can touch me, kiss me all the time
like you never see me again!
chorus:
let's live this moment like our last time,
