The Boeing 757 is a mid-size, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner that was designed and built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the manufacturer's largest single-aisle passenger aircraft and was produced from 1981 to 2004. The twinjet has a two-crew member glass cockpit, turbofan engines of sufficient power to allow takeoffs from relatively short runways and higher altitudes, a conventional tail and, for reduced aerodynamic drag, a supercritical wing design. Intended to replace the smaller three-engine 727 on short and medium routes, the 757 can carry 200 to 295 passengers for a maximum of 3,150 to 4,100 nautical miles (5,830 to 7,590 km), depending on variant. The 757 was designed concurrently with a wide-body twinjet, the 767, and owing to shared features pilots can obtain a common type rating that allows them to operate both aircraft.
The 757 was produced in two fuselage lengths. The original 757-200 entered service in 1983; the 757-200PF, a package freighter (PF) variant, and the 757-200M, a passenger-freighter combi model, debuted in the late 1980s. The stretched 757-300, the longest narrow-body twinjet ever produced, began service in 1999. Passenger 757-200s have been modified to special freighter (SF) specification for cargo use, while military derivatives include the C-32 transport, VIP carriers, and other multi-purpose aircraft. Private and government operators have also customized the 757 for research and transport roles. All 757s are powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 or Pratt & Whitney PW2000 series turbofans.

American Airlines is a founding member of the Oneworld airline alliance, and coordinates fares, services, and scheduling with British Airways, Iberia, and Finnair in the transatlantic market and with Japan Airlines in the transpacific market. Regional service is operated by independent and subsidiary carriers under the brand name American Eagle.
United Airlines, Inc., commonly referred to as United, is a major American airline headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It is the world's largest airline when measured by number of destinations served, and the second largest when measured by scheduled passenger-kilometres flown. United operates a comprehensive domestic and international route network, and has significant presence in the Asia-Pacific region. In the late 1920s, just prior to the use of the United Airlines name, The Boeing Company, currently one of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers, operated a predecessor airline.
United is a founding member of Star Alliance, the world's first and largest global airline alliance. Regional service is operated by independent carriers under the brand name United Express. Its main competitors are American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines.
United operates out of nine airline hubs located in Houston, Chicago, Newark/New York, Denver, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Guam, and Tokyo. United also operates maintenance bases in Cleveland and Orlando in addition to the maintenance locations located at United's hubs. George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston is United's largest passenger carrying hub handling 16.6 million passengers annually with an average of 45,413 passengers daily, while Chicago-O'Hare is its largest hub in terms of daily departures. The company employs over 88,500 people while maintaining its headquarters in Chicago's Willis Tower (formerly known as Sears Tower). Through the airline's parent company, United Continental Holdings, it is publicly traded under NYSE: UAL with a market capitalization of over $18 billion as of September, 2014.
Enjoy this Delta 757-200 rocketing out of St. Maarten, filmed from Maho Beach. Sorry about the wind noise from the jetblast! Notice that not only does the Co-pilot wave to the crowds, but at 0:45 the passenger in the first window is also waving. One of my favorite aircraft to fly on is the Boeing 757-200. The engines are overpowered and taking off in a B757 is a thrill. Check out my video, especially the part where it is climbing, listen to the engine sound. [Below info from Wikipedia] The 757-200, the original version of the aircraft, entered service with Eastern Air Lines in 1983. The type was produced with two different door configurations, both with three standard cabin doors per side: the baseline version has a fourth, smaller cabin door on each side aft of the wings, and is certified for a maximum capacity of 239, while the alternate version has a pair of over-the-wing emergency exits on each side, and can seat a maximum of 224. Production for the 757-200 totaled 913 aircraft, making the type by far the most popular 757...
Our Delta 757-200 X (N6710E) (Former Song Airlines) Cabin walkaround with a Delta FA in DTW! Thanks to the FA in my video for letting me do this! I think she was also in part of my Delta 737-800 cabin walkthrough video also! Delta 757-200 X N6710E LAX-DTW
These Delta 757's sure been showing their age lately! Every time I fly Delta, it feels like I'm back in the 1990's. So take a step back in time with me as we fly from KSEA Seattle to KLAX Los Angeles. While the overhead IFE was a bore, the rest of this flight was quite enjoyable. You'll notice these older 757's are a bit more louder inside the cabin than the newer aircraft. The crew was very nice and professional and not a hiccup with the equipment. Due to Delta's customer service and vast network of domestic flights around the states, I believe this carrier offers a good product. Filmed: September 2014
British Airways Boeing 757-200 G-CPER, delivered in 1997 - The 757 is an authentic rocket. it literally pushed us all back against the seatbacks with a great engine spool up sound and then soared at a very steep angle until we supposedly reached 5000 ft. A Qantas and a Singapore Airlines A380s can be seen and also an engine vortex before entering the runway. The last BA 757s were withdrawn from the fleet (actually sold to Fed Ex) towards the end of October 2010, roughly 6 months after this video was shot, and replaced by A320s and A321s. This was a scheduled flight between London Heathrow (LHR) and Barcelona-El Prat (BCN). Due to the industrial action that was taking place those days, more capacity was needed to allocate passengers from cancelled flights. Therefore, the original plane fo...
Trump's private 757 arriving and departing from FLL! Listen to the awesome sound from these Rolls-Royce engines! After arriving from Virginia, the pilots turned left instead of right when exiting runway 10L which led to some confusion. Eventually they were cleared to cross 10L in order to get to Signature, where Mr. Trump and the others on board got dropped off. The empty aircraft then departed on a ferry flight to Miami, complete with a nice buzzing takeoff! 1 Corinthians 13:2 - "If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn't love others, I would be nothing." Ride along with the crew a Boeing 757-200 as they land at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on a clear morning.
A full length full flight video in real time with American Airlines, from Dublin to Philadelphia, onboard Boeing 757-200 N936UW operating flight AA723 on April 1 2016. **Every moment of the flight included from airport to airport. ATC for full flight.** We begin our journey outside Dublin Airport's Terminal 2, before making our way through the airport, pre-clearing US immigration, and boarding our ride for today: Boeing 757-200 N936UW. Once we are all boarded we push back, but the crew are unable to start one of the engines - so we return to the gate for the engineers to fix the fault. We finally push back and taxi to runway 10 for departure, where we depart almost 2 hours behind schedule. Once airborne, we head across Ireland before beginning our transatlantic crossing, flying at a...
