Fred Carpenter (2 April 1892 – 14 March 1976) was a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Fred may refer to:
Carpentry is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping and installation of building materials during the construction of buildings, ships, timber bridges, concrete formwork, etc. Carpenters traditionally worked with natural wood and did the rougher work such as framing, but today many other materials are also used and sometimes the finer trades of cabinetmaking and furniture building are considered carpentry. Carpentry in the United States is almost always done by men. With 98.5% of carpenters being male, it was the fourth most male-dominated occupation in the country in 1999, and there were about 1.5 million positions in 2006. Carpenters are usually the first tradesmen on a job and the last to leave. Carpenters normally framed post-and-beam buildings until the end of the 19th century; now this old fashioned carpentry is called timber framing. Carpenters learn this trade by being employed through an apprenticeship training—normally 4 years—and qualify by successfully completing that country's department of labour competency test in places such as the UK, USA and South Africa. It is also common that the skill can be learnt by gaining work experience other than a formal training program, which may be the case in many places.

Long Island is an island located just off the northeast coast of the United States and a region within the U.S. state of New York. Stretching east-northeast from New York Harbor into the Atlantic Ocean, the island comprises four counties: Kings and Queens (these form the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, respectively) to the west; then Nassau and Suffolk to the east. However, many people in the New York metropolitan area (even those living in Queens and Brooklyn) colloquially use the term "Long Island" (or "The Island") exclusively to refer to the Nassau-Suffolk county area collectively, which is mainly suburban in character. North of the island is Long Island Sound, across from which lie the states of Connecticut and a small part of Rhode Island.
With a Census-estimated population of 7,804,968 in 2014, constituting nearly 40% of New York State's population, Long Island is the most populated island in any U.S. state or territory, and the 18th-most populous island in the world (ahead of Ireland, Jamaica, and Hokkaidō). Its population density is 5,571 inhabitants per square mile (2,151/km2). If Long Island geographically constituted an independent metropolitan statistical area, it would rank fourth most populous in the United States; while if it were a U.S. state, Long Island would rank 13th in population and first in population density.
"Just Like" is a song recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1978 but wasn't released until after the release of Gaye's posthumous 1985 album, Romantically Yours.
The song was written and recorded by Gaye in the singer's recording studio in 1978 in sessions culled from the recording of Gaye's albums, Here, My Dear and The Ballads. The song was written around the time that Gaye had finalized his divorce from Anna Gordy and was struggling in his second marriage to Janis. It's unclear if Gaye had wanted to include the song in The Ballads as when the posthumous Vulnerable album came out in 1997, the song was left off of the track listing.
Instead, following Marvin's death, Columbia Records worked with Gaye's former label, Motown, to bring leftover songs to fulfill Gaye's contractual obligations to Columbia (he had signed a three-album deal in 1982). "Just Like" was one of the songs brought up to discussion and was agreed to be placed on the posthumous 1985 album, Romantically Yours. "Just Like" was later released as a single but failed to chart.

Onboard footage taken from a Junior Special (SN19) Driven by Ollie Hassell (who was racing it in the adult classes) The track was very slippery and subsequently the car pushed on, Ollie tried to correct this error and the back end kicked out resulting in Freddie having no where to go and colliding with the front wheel of Ollie's car which causes Freddies mini to flip over onto the armco and bounce. Freddie was ok afterwards( apart from a reasonable amount of bruising)

The late Fred Dibnah was a modern renaissance man. Episodes 1 and 2: The Art of Castle Building and Might Cathedrals. He explains how the castles were designed, how they were constructed, how they were managed and also, using a technique that Fred still used, how they could be taken during a siege.
