Stephen Glenn "Steve" Martin (born August 14, 1945) is an American honorary Academy Award winning actor, comedian, musician, author, playwright and producer.
Martin came to public notice as a writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and later became a frequent guest on The Tonight Show. In the 1970s, Martin performed his offbeat, absurdist comedy routines before packed houses on national tours. In 2004, Comedy Central ranked Martin at sixth place in a list of the 100 greatest stand-up comics.
Since the 1980s, having branched away from stand-up comedy, Martin has become a successful actor, as well as an author, playwright, pianist and banjo player, eventually earning Emmy, Grammy and American Comedy awards, among other honors.
Martin was awarded an honorary Oscar at the Academy's 5th Annual Governors Awards in November 2013.

The Aston Martin V8 is a two-door coupé automobile manufactured in the United Kingdom from 1969 to 1989. As with all traditional Aston Martins, it was entirely handbuilt -- with each car requiring 1,200 manhours to finish.
Aston Martin's customers had been clamouring for an eight-cylinder car for years, so Aston Martin designed a larger two-door saloon for V8 applications. The engine was not ready, however, so in 1967 the company released the DBS with the straight-six Vantage engine from the DB6. Two years later, Tadek Marek's V8 was ready, and Aston released the DBS V8. With the demise of the straight-six Vantage in 1973, the DBS V8, now restyled and called simply the Aston Martin V8, became the company's mainstream car for nearly two decades. It was retired in favour of the Virage in 1989.

Bob Sheppard (10/20/1910-7/11/2010). An editied version of Bob's most famous introduction in his 57 seasons with the Yankee. The surprise announcement at the 1978 Old Timer's Day that Billy Martin would return as manager in 1980. This a week after his unpopular firing by Boss George Steinbrenner. Prior to the Old Timer's Day Bob was given this script and asked to announce it when Frank Messer gave him the cue. He did and the rest is Yankee history.
Bob was a genuinely admirable human being and a gentleman of the old school who represented a bygone era of aspiration and dignity. The sacred eloquence that Bob's work represented and epitomized has now officially past. He was a credit to his faith, his family, his friends, and to sports. He possessed unrivaled character, integrity, courage, and class. How lucky I was to even know this exceptional man since his sterling influence on my life echoed through to my very heart and soul. I shall miss him terribly. We shall all miss the magnificent Robert Leo Sheppard.

Martin (film)
Martin is a 1977 American horror film written and directed by George A. Romero.
Romero claims that Martin is the favorite of all his films. The film is also notable as the first collaboration between George Romero and special effects artist Tom Savini.
Plot
As the film opens, a young man (John Amplas), travelling on an overnight train from Indianapolis to Pittsburgh, sedates a young woman with a syringe full of narcotics, slices her wrist with a razor blade, and drinks her blood. The next morning, he is met at the Pittsburgh train station by a mysterious man in white (Lincoln Maazel) who escorts him away, whereupon the pair board a local train destined for Braddock.
The young man is Martin, who has romantic monochrome visions of vampiric seductions and torch-lit mobs, but it is impossible to tell if these visions are real or imagined.
The mysterious man in white is Martin's suspicious, old granduncle, Tateh Cuda. Due to the death of Martin's immediate family in Indianapolis, Cuda has reluctantly agreed to give Martin room and board as he is the closest living relative and Martin will share the house with him and cousin Christine in the dying town of Braddock.

Plot: Martin takes away Magdalena, his girlfriend, from her home to live with him. There, Magdalena will take care of Martin's father, who's in bed very sick. But Magdalena's relatives are very upset with Martin. Cristino, her brother, looks for revenge in the bar, but Martin defeats him in front of the governor of the town. Martin's brother fiancée tries to convince him about coming back with Magdalena, but he says that never loves the girl, and she's the one that he loves instead. The day of Martin's brother weeding has come and there will be Martin, demanding to his fiancée to come with him by the force.

Bob Sheppard (10/20/1910-7/11/2010). An editied version of Bob's most famous introduction in his 57 seasons with the Yankee. The surprise announcement at the 1978 Old Timer's Day that Billy Martin would return as manager in 1980. This a week after his unpopular firing by Boss George Steinbrenner. Prior to the Old Timer's Day Bob was given this script and asked to announce it when Frank Messer gave him the cue. He did and the rest is Yankee history. Bob was a genuinely admirable human being and a gentleman of the old school who represented a bygone era of aspiration and dignity. Stephen Glenn "Steve" Martin (born August 14, 1945) is an American honorary Academy Award winning actor, comedian, musician, author, playwright and producer.
Martin came to public notice as a writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and later became a frequent guest on The Tonight Show. In the 1970s, Martin performed his offbeat, absurdist comedy routines before packed houses on national tours. In 2004, Comedy Central ranked Martin at sixth place in a list of the 100 greatest stand-up comics.
Since the 1980s, having branched away from stand-up comedy, Martin has become a successful actor, as well as an author, playwright, pianist and banjo player, eventually earning Emmy, Grammy and American Comedy awards, among other honors.
Martin was awarded an honorary Oscar at the Academy's 5th Annual Governors Awards in November 2013.

The Aston Martin V8 is a two-door coupé automobile manufactured in the United Kingdom from 1969 to 1989. As with all traditional Aston Martins, it was entirely handbuilt -- with each car requiring 1,200 manhours to finish.
Aston Martin's customers had been clamouring for an eight-cylinder car for years, so Aston Martin designed a larger two-door saloon for V8 applications. The engine was not ready, however, so in 1967 the company released the DBS with the straight-six Vantage engine from the DB6. Two years later, Tadek Marek's V8 was ready, and Aston released the DBS V8. With the demise of the straight-six Vantage in 1973, the DBS V8, now restyled and called simply the Aston Martin V8, became the company's mainstream car for nearly two decades. It was retired in favour of the Virage in 1989.

TMZ is reporting that Thomas Mikal Ford, who is most fondly remembered for playing Tommy Strawn on Martin, has passed away. He was 52. While details are currently scarce, Ford's wife Gloria told TMZ that he was on life support. The report said that Ford had been in an Atlanta hospital since Sunday after a recent check-up from knee replacement surgery; it's said that Ford fell into a state of unconsciousness due to a ruptured aneurysm in his abdomen after a post-op check-up. His family reportedly made the decision to turn off support Wednesday afternoon.
