‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ starter evolutions, shiny sprites leaked in new demo

Nintendo’s big E3 press conference starts at 12PM ET – watch the live stream right here!

We’re just a few hours out from the E3 2015 show floor opening up, but before all the meeting begin, we have two more press conferences to watch. The first conference of the day is Nintendo’s Digital Event, which we were sadly not invited to (because it’s a prerecorded video).

Apparently the more focused event was a success for Nintendo last year, as they’ve decided not to take the stage for a second consecutive year. More →

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D review: Nintendo’s most triumphant remaster ever

15 years ago, the darkest, most complex game in the history of The Legend of Zelda hit store shelves. Majora’s Mask was lauded as another masterpiece of the Nintendo 64 era and a worthy follow-up to Ocarina of Time, but it hasn’t quite had the same legacy as its predecessor.

Now that the game’s incredible looking remaster is finally coming to 3DS, Nintendo has a chance to rewrite history and introduce a whole new generation of gamers to one of its most tragic and fascinating tales.

Review: What it’s like to upgrade from a Nintendo 3DS to a New 3DS XL

Review: What it’s like to upgrade from a Nintendo 3DS to a New 3DS XL

I’ve owned a Nintendo 3DS ever since the day it launched. It’s not the most inventive or the most attractive portable on the market, but it features an incredible selection of first-party and third-party content. But its physical limitations have always bothered me, to the point where I simply started taking my PS Vita on trips with me rather than my 3DS.

The New 3DS XL is going to change that. More →

Nintendo is hosting an 8-hour live stream of the best new Wii U and 3DS games

With all the doom and gloom surrounding the Wii U, it’s easy to forget that Nintendo still (occasionally) puts out some of the best games on the market. Super Mario 3D World was certainly a contender for game of the year last year, and now Nintendo is prepping what looks to be a solid, if scant, holiday lineup for 2014. More →

It’s been a trying year for Nintendo as the Wii U struggles to compete with the PS4 and Xbox One, but with the holiday season approaching, the company has a few tricks up its sleeve to entice fans. Nintendo 3DS Doomed

How ‘Last Blockbuster Syndrome’ dooms empires like Nintendo

How ‘Last Blockbuster Syndrome’ dooms empires like Nintendo

For years, Nintendo has believed it could reject smartphone and tablet apps, yet still flourish. The reason for this delusion is familiar — it’s the toxic Last Blockbuster Syndrome that doomed the consumer electronics divisions of Motorola in 2004 and Nokia in 2007. Often at the start of a massive trend shift in consumer electronics, dominant dinosaurs get one massive hit built on a nearly obsolete paradigm, and that allows them to be lulled into a comfy trip to the grave.
