Wow, 250,000 subscribers and counting! Thank you all so much for the support! ^_^
This is the little Portal 'rap' (if you can call it that) video I promised last year when I hit 100,000 subscribers. Originally planned to finish and release it by 150,000 subscribers, but tons of projects popped up that took up my time. How time flies! Not the best 'rap' ever, but it was pretty fun to make. =P

Just a little bit of animation that I did for fun. Stephen Merchant did some really excellent voice acting in Portal 2 and I just needed to animate some of it! I had done a human Wheatley design and it was pretty well received, so I thought eeyyy why not, I have to get some 2D practise in.
Some parts of this are rougher than other bits, some are only key frames, some are inbetweened, I only really did as much as I felt like. I might go back and revisit this in the future, but I'm pretty happy with it for now.
Sorry to those of you who have subscribed expecting more pony animations, but that's probably not going to happen. x)

Finally my Wheatley puppet is complete! This is a demonstration of him in action. =3 He has 10 quotes in all. This only shows a few. I'm still getting used to puppeting him, so apologies if his movement seems a little weird.

FAQ UPDATE:
Thank you so much for all the positive feedback. I'm so happy so many people like my little puppet. I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the comments and questions I've been getting, so I thought I should put up a FAQ list of the questions I keep seeing a lot.
1. How much does the puppet weigh?
Just under six pounds.
2. What are his dimensions?
He's about 12 inches across. I don't have lists of measurements for all his details, but honestly none of them are completely accurate. I eyeballed a lot of things.
3. Can I buy one?
I don't have any plans to start selling these.
4. Can I make one?
Absolutely!
5. Can you tell me how to make one?
I've been responding to some people asking for build advice, but I'm afraid it's starting to get kind of overwhelming. I don't think I can keep giving explanations for everything I'm asked. I do have my blog available detailing the basic process, which should be helpful to anyone trying to make their own core. I know the blog doesn't explain every facet of his design, but I didn't really write it as a tutorial. If you're interested in building your own core, don't feel like you have to duplicate my process exactly. There's really no reason to believe the way I did this is the best way. I had no idea what I was doing when I made my Wheatley. I just found my way through the whole process. In the end it made the project that much more rewarding. If you puzzle your way through some of the steps and come up with your own unique solutions, I think you'll be more satisfied in the end.

If you're wondering how I did the confetti, all I did was go into Hammer Editor (download it from Steam) and make a simple room with the walls all one dark texture. Then I just rigged a button to a confetti.pcf. I went in game and pressed the button, whilst recording with Fraps. THEN I used Adobe After Effects to key out the dark texture and voila! Confetti ready for use.

Wheatley Rough Animation

Stephen Merchant did some really excellent voice acting in Portal 2 and I just needed to animate some of it! I had done a human Wheatley design and it was pretty well received, so I thought eeyyy why not, I have to get some 2D practise in. Some parts of this are rougher than other bits, some are only key frames, some are inbetweened, I only really did as much as I felt like. I might go back and revisit this in the future, but I'm pretty happy with it for now. Sorry to those of you who have subscribed expecting more pony animations, but that's probably not going to happen. x)

The Wheatley Song ... Extended! [Spoilers]
A follow up on my original. Added some more ... bits. It was fun to make!! Download it! http://www.mediafire.com/?f4wgbhfshafhweu --- If you're wondering how I did the confetti, all I did was go into Hammer Editor (download it from Steam) and make a simple room with the walls all one dark texture. Then I just rigged a button to a confetti.pcf. I went in game and pressed the button, whilst recording with Fraps. THEN I used Adobe After Effects to key out the dark texture and voila! Confetti ready for use. -- For Mina :) -- Fun fact, Wheatley says "Wheatley" 80 times.

Thank you so much for all the positive feedback. I'm so happy so many people like my little puppet. I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the comments and questions I've been getting, so I thought I should put up a FAQ list of the questions I keep seeing a lot.
1. How much does the puppet weigh?
Just under six pounds.
2. What are his dimensions?
He's about 12 inches across. I don't have lists of measurements for all his details, but honestly none of them are completely accurate. I eyeballed a lot of things.
3. Can I buy one?
I don't have any plans to start selling these.
4. Can I make one?
Absolutely!
5. Can you tell me how to make one?
I've been responding to some people asking for build advice, but I'm afraid it's starting to get kind of overwhelming. I don't think I can keep giving explanations for everything I'm asked. I do have my blog available detailing the basic process, which should be helpful to anyone trying to make their own core. I know the blog doesn't explain every facet of his design, but I didn't really write it as a tutorial. If you're interested in building your own core, don't feel like you have to duplicate my process exactly. There's really no reason to believe the way I did this is the best way. I had no idea what I was doing when I made my Wheatley. I just found my way through the whole process. In the end it made the project that much more rewarding. If you puzzle your way through some of the steps and come up with your own unique solutions, I think you'll be more satisfied in the end.

Finally my Wheatley puppet is complete! This is a demonstration of him in action. =3 He has 10 quotes in all. This only shows a few. I'm still getting used to puppeting him, so apologies if his movement seems a little weird.

If you're wondering how I did the confetti, all I did was go into Hammer Editor (download it from Steam) and make a simple room with the walls all one dark texture. Then I just rigged a button to a confetti.pcf. I went in game and pressed the button, whilst recording with Fraps. THEN I used Adobe After Effects to key out the dark texture and voila! Confetti ready for use.
